3rd Times The Charm!!! :D (Patreon)

HELLO EVERYONE!!! today I have an update on the plasma cutter!!! THIS ONE HAS BEEN BRUTAL!!! so what’s been happening with this model? :D

After completing V1 of this model it got to the test print and sadly failed! I originally designed a mechanism that was too complicated and did too much the outer plates originally moved up then out!!!  it was really cool but absolutely insane!! it was also too flimsy and had too much flex. :(

so on to V2!! and was working ALL THE WAY UP TO THE LAST TEST!!! the very last test!! with a simpler and more rugged mechanism, I was able to get the model working, all the servos moved the way I was expecting untill the final assembly where the wait of the outer plates where too much for the tiny 9-gram servos…

so on to V3!!! I have upgraded to MG996R servos! these are massive compared to the sg 90 servos I was using before and should solve the low torque issues :D

I was hoping to have the model published today but sadly the model needs a bit more work :D
