Portal Gun Wip!!!! (Patreon)

HELLO EVERYONE!!! to the day I have an update on the Portal Gun!!!! the basic modelling is done!! and it went smoother than I was expecting :D some of the details will change when I start getting the internals sorted, speaking of which?!?!

ooooo man am I excited for the internals on this one!!! :D This model has so much internal space and such an interesting design that I can do some really awesome stuff :D as for features on this model, Im planning on adding electronics!!! so there will be servos moving things! lighting effects! and buttons to control everything!!! :D Also with this model you will be able to build it without electronics if you want :D

there are still a few tricky bits to sort out :D after looking at the arms Im about 90% sure little 9-gram servos are strong enough to move them but to help them out, im gonna use a gear ratio to increase their torque of them :D

next is the big cylinder in the centre of the model :D after looking into clear acrylic pipes, they don't seem to be the right fit for this model, in the sizes needed they are really expensive and from what I have planned you will need to cut the cylinder! not great! so instead im planning on using an a4 sheet of 2mm thick acrylic. It’s cheap, looks good and can bend into a tube shape! with some bracing, it should work out well :D

next cool thing to check out is im planning on using silicon tubing for the pipes, but it’s the first time using something like this on a model so it might throw up an issue :D
