hello everyone!!! after weeks of printing! tweaking! assembling! disassembling! reprinting! more tweaking! even more reprinting! IT IS COMPLETE!!! and man is it glorious! starting off, the design process for this model went pretty smooth though it did take a bit longer than I had hoped to get it to the test print stage... that's when things went a bit sideways. 80% of the issues that poped during the test print were with the new unified system, which I expected but what caught me off guard was the type of issues.

1st was friction, I have had friction issues before and I have been able to deal with them relatively easily but due to all the parts being interconnected it meant there was A LOT more friction than I'm used to so I had to give a lot more space to allow parts to slide on each other as well as increase the tension on the springs. this started the 2nd issue that popped up in the model! to much give! and so it ended up tweaking parts back and forth till I was able to get that model to work AND IT DID!!!! WOOOOHOOOOO!

man is it awesome :D ill have a vid up in a bit of the mechanism working due to the way patreon works ill need a min :D

onto the features!!!!

bolt-together construction!
internal detail!!!
a scope with a built-in site that lines up only when looking down the sight correctly!
unified system between the trigger, slider and mag features!!!

it has been a ferry long time that the halo 5 AR has been the most ambitious and most complex model I have ever done, but this battle rifle completely blows it out of the water in every metric. this model is the most ambitious, complex, and lake of a better term coolest model I have ever done! and it's thanks to you guys I have been able to make this monster :D thank you :D

you can find the model here!
Happy printing :D

Im going to begin printing right away! THIS IS AWESOME! Do you have any tips or settings for printing? Also, what is the scale of it? Should I scale it down for cosplay or will it look natural at its default? I checked the files but didnt see any of those details and just wanted to double check :D

OddWorks

hahahaha thank you so much :D as for my settings I printed it at 0.24 layer hight, 3 parameters, 14% infill triangle, 4 top layers, 3 bottom layers :D this model is scaled down from the scale in-game so its human scale and not spartan scale :D
