big changes incoming!!! :D (Patreon)

Hello everyone!! Got a pretty massive announcement for you guys today.

This ended up being a few paragraphs so TLDR at the bottom :D

So things have changed for me in a big way!! about 2 months ago I lost the part-time job that helped keep me financially stable as well as helped to fund all this awesomeness, in that time I have been looking for another part-time job as well as scrambling for ways to massively increase my income from 3d printing and sadly the job hunting has not gone well but the 3d modelling might, and honestly making models for you guys is kinda my dream! so I'm going all-in for a while to see if I can make that happen! :D This brings me to the changes to my Patreon.

First the bad stuff.

First and this is the big one, I'm discontinuing the 1 dollar tier. This means from today, no new patrons can choose this tier when joining my Patreon. As for all you guys that are still at 1 dollar tier, you guys will still be able to access all the Patreon models till the 5th of January 2022, after that, you will no longer be able to access the models. To access the models again you will have to switch to the 3 dollar tier.

This is a bit of a gut punch I know and it's not a decision I take lightly, but this change alone will put me in a position where I can continue making these awesome models, literally! if everyone from the 1 dollar tier shifted to the 3 dollar tier I would hit my first goal!!! More on the goals later :D

a small change only new patrons will see, as soon as they become a patron they will be charged for that month they join, this is to protect my models as I have had a few people join to grab the models they want and leave before actually contributing :D

As the patron numbers go up I'll also be stopping the free models that go out to 3d modelling websites, this means you guys will get all of my models :D

Next is my Etsy store!!! In a panic to help prop up everything I decided to sell 3d models on Etsy which has been a massive help but it's not sustainable, so eventually as we reach certain goals here i'll remove the models from Etsy and post them to Patreon :D but as a bonus, untill the models are here, all patrons will get a 70% if you want to grab those models before I post them here.

With the bad stuff out of the way time for the good stuff!!!

First off, Discord!!! I have wanted to build a place for everyone to chat about 3d printing, show off their prints, troubleshoot issues and other awesomeness. Discord seems to be the best place to do that so I'm starting a discord server but I'm gonna need your help with moderating it, so if you would like to become a mod let me know :D

for the commercial guys, ill be adding a 15 dollar tier. If you are on this tier you will have commercial rights to sell prints of my models so long as you are a 15 dollar patron :D

Next is the big one!! More models!!! as I was panic modelling making models for the Etsy store, I realised I CAN ABSOLUTELY CRANK OUT MODELS!! in the space of 2 weeks I made 12 models! Now granted, the models were much simpler than the models I make for you guys, I cut corners the size of the grand canyon and worked 12 hours a day for 14 days straight to complete those models, which was not fun hahaha. but with a bit of dialling back and less corner-cutting, I can increase the number of models you guys get to up to 4 a month instead of 2 :D

And finally the goals! there are 2 goals I need to reach to continue making models the first one is to reach 350 dollars a month by Feb of next year, after hitting this goal ill be able to continue making models next year and push towards the final goal.

which is 600 dollars! if we can hit this I will be able to continue making models for the foreseeable future!!! 😄

To reach these goals I'm gonna be posting everywhere!!! One thing I have been lacking is posts on social media sites, due to me being shy, I haven't made posts on Reddit and Facebook groups. This is gonna change and I'm going to be posting a hell of a lot more! and you can help me with that! if you have printed out one of my models and know of a group that would like to see it, post some photos of it :D Every time you guys have posted photos of the prints, I have seen an influx of patrons. Hell just on Reddit alone every time you post, new patrons find me :D

Well, that was a bit! hahaha. I think with these changes I'll be able to reach the goals needed :D but I wanted to ask you guys as well, do you guys have any ideas you want me to add or any advice?  Let me know :D

I will be making the changes to everything over the next few hours as well as revealing a few surprises!

A new set of models are available on ETSY, patrons get a 70% discount on them.
You guys are getting more models a month!!!
