this model will be my first foray into Arduino's!!!!

this is a major step forward and has been the one thing missing in my models, the ability to add in features that have been missing like servos moving parts, LEDs flashing when the model is doing something, LCD's showing your mag count!!

all will be developed while working on this model :D

first of the features of the model
this model will have 3 servo's that open the top.bottom.and pop the mag out,
LCD showing your mag count,
the trigger can be pulled hitting a switch that will drop the mag count,
button for the reloading of the weapon
and a power switch :D

now all of this sounds freaking insane and it is but it does have its drawbacks mainly no internal space for detail so no internal detail, but I think it's worth it as it will allow me to develop the software needed for future projects as well. plus this will be freaking awesome!!!!! :D

Risk of this model.

This model is not as risky as some of the other projects, I actually started designing and building this model a year or 2 ago and actually got it to work!!! but the model did have some mechanical issues that needed sort and at the time I just didn’t have the time to finish the model

As for the benefits of this project? Well beyond the servo awesomeness!!! With this project I won't just be righting the code for this model but righting the code for future projects as well, LED control, lighting effects, different LCD screen setups, on top of the code for the model, with all this it should make building electronics into future models a lot simpler :D

Incorporating servos and lcds is awesome. It would be cool to make the button for reloading tied to adding and removing magazine, maybe that was already your intent. Also, if you ever make your way back to Mass Effect weapons after this I think the thermal clips there would be a cool place to apply a similar idea.

OddWorks

thank you hahaha yup you are right you have to hit the reload button to make the model open up to allow you to remove the mag, sorry I didn't do a great job of explaining it so ill add a few photos of how it works in a day or 2 :D adding thermal clips is a fantastic idea ill keep it in mind for future projects :D thank you for letting me know about them :D
