!PLEASE READ! End of SousBae Tier + February Update (Patreon)

I have decided to "unpublish" the SousBae Tier here on patreon starting Thursday February 22nd. DO NOT WORRY YOU ARE NOT BEING FORCED TO PAY MORE AGAINST YOUR WILL NOR ARE YOU BEING KICKED OFF MY PATREON - please read the details below.

The update for the month will be below that.

What This Means:

If you are currently pledged to SousBae: You are now part of a "legacy" tier that will no longer be able to be pledged to by NEW patrons or changed to by existing patrons of higher tiers BUT will still exist on this patreon. However should you cancel your membership to my patreon you will not be able to return to pledging to this Tier and will only have the option to pledge to Devout KrisTien and higher. You will continue to have access to the existing Visual Novel Playthrus on this patreon you already have access to HOWEVER i will no longer be doing designated SFW playthrus for this tier going forward so you will only be able to access playthrus from the past. 

If you desire to see future Visual Novel Playthrus you will need to pledge to a higher tier.  Other than that you still will have access to past and future 3ER Podcasts, Director's Kuts, and all other content that has been designated to this tier. The only perk being lost is future Playthrus, what you receive otherwise will remain exactly the same going forward - your tier will just be "closed" so no new people can pledge to it. 

If you want to change to a higher tier, there is no deadline, make the switch when you desire but again remember you will not be able to come back to this tier. 

If you are currently pledged to Devout KrisTien: You will now be the lowest price tier on this patreon and your perks will not change - HOWEVER - if you dont care for my playthrus at all and would like to pledge to a tier with mostly the same perks then feel free to switch to SousBae before i unpublish the tier on Thursday. Going forward this and SousBae will again have identical perks with the key difference being access to any future playthrus.

If you are currently pledged to another tier: In theory this does not effect anyone pledged to NaruTo-chan and above since i would assume there are perks associated with those two that would entice yall to be pledged above Devout KrisTien (discord, natz casts, etc) but again - i invite anyone who likes what SousBae offered to pledge to that tier before the deadline if it suits your interests. 

Future Patrons: after Thursday nobody will be able to pledge to the SousBae Tier if they decide to join my Patreon, the lowest entry tier will be Devout KrisTien going forward.

Why Im Doing This:

Two Reasons:

1. I do not desire to go out of my way to edit and upload a censored version of my visual novel playthrus going forward. Putting together SFW versions of a few of the past playthrus was just a time sink and also took up a LOT of digital storage space plus i wondered if enough people were even engaging with them when im fairly certain most of us want to watch the explicit visual novels in their entirety to get the whole story lmao. A swiss cheese version seemed like a waste of everyones time - both mine and yalls. Also Dream Daddy kinda highlighted to me that i mostly wanna play explicit visual novels going forward cause that shit was real dry and being PUNISHED for tryna plow Robert OFFENDED ME so going forward i only want to play games where sex is REWARDING at least visually even if its a detriment to the success of the route. Honestly I dont want to put in extra time cutting that out when the internet is already as sex negative as it is. 

2. Quite frankly i want to make more money after i lost so much between 2022 and 2023 and with how much is available on this patreon at this point its bad business to continue to give so much away for such a cheap tier. Currently there are 16 podcasts, a 10 episode bonus video series, 3 individual bonus videos, 44 installments of 6 different visual novel playthrus and an ongoing number of extended versions of my public videos available to the SousBae tier of this patreon so its been time for me to up the cost of access to things as the content on here continues to increase. It would be different if i was an artist offering perks that are available one month then never again but i offer a backlog of content to anyone who pledges so it was inevitable a "price increase" would occur. 

That being said, i didnt just wanna say FUCK YALL and just outright delete the tier and force yall to all pledge to Devout Kristien by default cause realistically most of yall would say WELL FUCK YOU KRIS and just leave and never return LMAO. Ive decided to make this compromise not only cause its good business sense and mostly win win all around but to also minimally thank those that have pledged to me for so long within that tier by allowing those comfortable paying that amount monthly to continue to do so with most perks theyve had access to intact. Ultimately this platform IS to make money so i need to make moves to ensure i continue to do that and just increasing content without increasing an entry level price is NOT how im going to do that so this change needed to be done. 

I apologize to anyone who may be upset about losing access to future playthrus in general but it wouldnt be fair to Devout KrisTien tier patrons to suddenly offer what theyve been paying more for to those who have been paying less. If you feel the need to leave altogether i understand please just let me know this is the reason why in your exit survey.

February Update

Slow Damage is finished. Its 27 episodes and will release biweekly like previous playthrus so itll have yall good and satiated for the next year. The increase in "episodes" is not only cause the games long as shit but also because i shot the episodes to be around 30min each. I did this not only to help expedite the moving files process, the exporting process and the uploading process but because itll play out more like an episode of a tv show and thus be more manageable to watch individually in a single sitting. I will be playing a second route eventually for OTR w/Gene Tier patrons but the poll for which route yall will want me to play will come out eventually. 

As i talked about in one of the videos or updates i made about wrapping up 2023, theres a few VN im interested in that might be releasing this year and should that happen i will likely end up releasing playthrus of BOTH Slow Damage AND a new VN should that happen, alternating weeks for the release. Of course TBD based on if/when they release but figured id mention it. Once Slow Damage is done, then we can start to discuss what will be played after it but thats 2025's problem. 

FujoFeb has unfortunately been a lot less eventful than id liked but i half expected this given the fact ive been working on a bunch of content behind the scenes and prepping it for future release. Almost all of the Natz Casts for this year have been recorded, edited and scheduled which took a portion of my january. Anyone curious about what may be coming and when - feel free to checked the pinned post on the main page and see the intended schedule for the coming year in case youd want to temporarily pledge to OTR w/Gene to listen to my thoughts on something you have an interest in. Additionally Slow Damage took 3 days to complete and i needed time to recover after but im working on exporting and uploading those files currently - wish me fuckin luck on figuring out where to upload them LMFAO

As for public videos for the rest of the month i think ill only be doing one more video for FujoFeb and thatll be Slow Damage Part 1. I will be doing something a lil different and attempt to post the first unedited/uncensored installment publicly on youtube this coming friday. If theres monetization issues with this then ill censor it as necessary and have the uncensored here on patreon but if not then ill just have part 1 available to the whole world to entice people to pledge to patreon for the rest. Main reasoning for this is because past edited playthrus on my channel havent done well at all in the past 2 years so i figure if the videos gunna bomb i might as well give it minimal effort and then down the line if i feel like it ill make an edited compilation of funniest moments with songs n shit for the public once the playthru is done.

Since i try to give videos at least a week between releases and Slow Damage will go up on Friday then thatll be the end of fujofeb. March i dont have anything concrete yet but ive been mulling over a playful takedown piece on Hiroko Utsumi Re: Bucchigiri and changes made from the Banana Fish manga so i might put that into motion while bucchigiri is still relevant and ultimately use it as a trojan horse for a Brave Bang Bravern propaganda piece cause its the intentional fujobait series everyone SHOULD be paying attention to. March will also be where i do the husbando bracket ive talked about, Ill of course ask for hubbies from yall when that time comes and then ill figure out hopefully a third video after those - probably the What Im Shipping Winter 2024 which i might tweak to be framed as a "top winter 2024 ships" thingy thingy.

Ive been easing into a much more sustainable workflow where im forcing myself to have "a weekend" LMAO which has been a foreign concept to me for a few years now. That being said im also planning to kill myself twice this year LMAO by potentially doing 2 "vlogmas"'s. For those unaware, "vlogmas" is a youtube trend content creators try to do (emphasis on TRY cause they ALWAYS fail lmfao) every december where they vlog every day until xmas, sometimes with a theme. Im considering doing this for both June for Pride and for December for the real Vlogmas as i have two ideas for short form vlog-style videos id like to try out to make a bit of a backlog for my channel regardless of performance of these videos. For Pride i would be reviewing a different GeiKomi manga or doujin every day in a short review style video and then for December i would do 25 short BL manga/manhwa reviews of a similar fashion. Staying true to being sustainable i would likely prepare both of these way earlier than intended and probably take the end half of may/november off to work on this as well as all of july/january to recover lmfao. This is just an IDEA at this stage but it would catapult me thru my backlog with PURPOSE if i choose to do it. For the BL side of things i might even CHEAT and redo my thoughts on former Reviewing Yaoi/Boy Loves Boys Love videos so i have less to read but tbd obvi. 

Sorry again for an uneventful fujoshi february 2024, but like i said im prioritizing my well being this year so i can make better content and not stress myself out unnecessarily with deadlines and promises i very much cant keep lmao
