I respect your decision to not watch the new Bleach anime until after it finishes but are you aware it's not supposed to end until the Spring 2024 season? Think you can hold out that long? lol And I'm curious, do you check out all the new titles every season to see if you might like one or do you just ignore whatever doesn't look appealing to you? Tell me how to get you to try Golden Kamuy! It's basically bara with extra steps! XD

yee yee i know its going like seasons at a time with breaks and i honestly know i can hold out cause again i know everything so its not like im experiencing anything truly new lmao. Even if they somehow do add substantial stuff in like thats nice i guess but spoilers across the internet will end up in my sub feed or on accident when looking up something completely unrelated so its not like i wont know or am eager to find out - itll all be there when im ready and again ive read this so its cumulatively nothing new to me. Like with series ive read the manga for i usually need a break between reading it and then watching the adaptation for it to feel "old" enough that i need to revisit but i rewatched bleach like a year or 2 ago, reread TYBW arc a few times since the manga ended in 2016 so its all still very FRESH to me that im not compelled to revisit cause i feel it would feel redundant. Just as an example: i caught up on fire force's manga after season 1 and ended up putting season 2 on hold when it came out cause it all felt repetitive to me so it probably wont be for a WHILE that i revisit the FF anime. as for new titles yes yes i do regularly dive into seasonal anime and choose from the LONG list on MAL every season (i also daily follow ANN adaptation announcements so ill add to my PTW as things are announced and basically have everything i plan to watch before i season begins that way as well). I basically go off of premise, interesting poster/trailer, art style, is there a boy i can wife? LMAOOOO so i just ignore anything that doesnt catch my eyes, i usually watch like 10-14 per season depending what releases (as you can see from the list above lmao). Ive had golden kamuy suggested to me sooooo many times but im just not attracted to any of the men unfortunately which is extra unfortunate cause ive been told the manservice is spectacular and even the mangaka gave a list of the characters dick sizes LMAOOO

I completely get it; when I see that a manga I've been interested in but haven't started is getting adapted, I go out of my way to avoid the manga until I can try the anime. I feel like too many people judge shows entirely on how they compare to their source material, which I do not fuck with. That said, I know it's easy to read a manga and picture in your head exactly what you want the anime to be like, and that's a great way to get disappointed when it's different. I actually remember dropping the Bleach manga at one point years ago because it made the anime feel less special. Different times. And it's fine if you're not into the Golden Kamuy men, I just happen to love that show. lol I think I've heard you say about the same for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (although we still don't know their dick sizes). So do you have a "gold standard" for attractive character design/art style?

KrisPNatz

yeaaaaaa i feel you, ive found that im coming to actually really appreciate a lot of the older long running series that were pumped full of filler arcs cause for most of them i switched to the manga when i entered filler territory but now when im rewatching them im like "OHHHH NEW CONTENT LMAOOOOOOO" XDDD like aside from the bount and touju (sp?) arcs i really enjoyed myself watching bleach's filler arcs and episodes so the modern trend of "faithful" 1:1 adaptations is making me want to push rewatching certain series off to much later cause itll be a 1:1 retreading with nothing new to expect. I also usually do anime then transition to manga for similar reasons like its not that i get so stubborn on how certain characters should sound in my head i usually adjust but just the repetitiveness is whatll deter me to just watch it later or sometimes (like with bnha) i realize its not something i need to consume the story of twice so ill just stick to whichever format i prefer and keep it at that. I dont really have a set type for charac designs and body types it really just depends on if i even like characters first a lot of times and im open to most. Therell be some where the abs have mad detail but the face or personality isnt cute and then a character ill love will have no definition and give a bottom of shirt slip and ill be a thirst bucket LMAO but i think faces are important for my attraction however theyre drawn and the golden kamuy face sculpts just dont draw me in lmao

RobinHoodSnoutMan

See, I'm not a fan of filler content regardless of where it comes from (anime or manga), just 'cause I don't like when I can feel that what's happening doesn't matter and could be skipped. I'm actually not yet done with my rewatch of Bleach and I've been skipping the filler. But I also get where you're coming from since sometimes when I finish a series that I'm really attached to I'll immediately miss that I can't watch new episodes anymore. Whether it's for the world or the characters, or even just how much the act of watching that particular series became part of my routine, and it's not always easy to just replace it. I still remember how weirdly empty I felt when I heard "Next time, on the FINAL episode of Dragon Ball Z!" :( Good thing DB never REALLY ends. lmao

KrisPNatz

thats usually how ill feel the first time thru which is 90% of why ill switch to the manga for things cause ill get confused with "pointless" stories in the mix but after knowing bleach in its entirety i absolutely LOVED things like the karakurizer arc LMAOOOO but we all enjoy things differently so it just is what it is. And thank Dragon Ball for never ending cause it has only gotten BETTER AND BETTER at least for me LMAO adding beerus and whis in the mix is like top 2 greatest additions to an existing cast for me and super both in anime and manga is so whimsical i love it all so much (not to mention i think toyotaro might draw a sexier body than toriyama which might be sacrilege to say but im sorry the libido likes what the libido likes)

RobinHoodSnoutMan

lol That did seem like sacrilege at first but I just looked up some panels from DBS (I've only watched the anime) I think I see what you mean. The muscles are still very defined but there's a leanness to them now that I very much like. I love Toriyama's art but sometimes Goku looked like he was made of boulders. XD Also, I've loved Beerus and Whis since the minute I saw them flirting in Battle of Gods.

KrisPNatz

yesssssss just the definition toyotaro gives them and how the bodies are muscularly defined gets my bones vibrating but i have also loved the boulder bodies of yonder years they were part of my men-attraction awakening as a youth LMAO
