I heavily lean sub. But have consumed both at some point with watching dub versions of DBZ, Yugioh, Pokémon, etc. Since I haven't seen a bunch of dubs, the standouts are YYH and FMA for me. I've never seen the main series in Japanese for either. I have heard the Japanese for spin off movies, OVAs, etc though. Ahhh, as a child who was watching Naruto waaay before that dub was a thought, I'm cringing that people experienced that dub. 😬 Only seen an ep or two of the dub but the shit sounded rough...

I grew up watching a lot of the same dubs you did, so I got used to the way the English voices sync up with the lip flaps pretty quickly. That's actually how I recognized what cartoons were the cool ones before I knew the term "anime." I also started watching fan subs of Naruto on YouTube back in 2006 after starting it on Toonami. I definitely went through a phase where I didn't want to watch dubs anymore and always chose the subs, but that only lasted about a year. These days I pretty much always go with the dub if it's available. I prefer being able to fully understand what's going on by watching the actual show and listening to what's said. Speaking of, have you heard about the dub for SK8 the Infinity?!

the naruto dub wasnt too bad from my memory lmao i think the "BELIEVE IT" being a stand in for "dattebayo" was the most notable decision from my memory tho XD
