After their successful late '70s/early '80s movie trilogy, The Muppets took a decade-long break from the silver screen, only to return with an adaptation of perhaps the best-known story to the English-speaking world. In their first post-Jim Henson cinematic outing, The Muppet Christmas Carol pairs the familiar cast of felt characters with veteran actor Michael Caine, and the resulting 85 minutes amounts to what could be the best adaptation of Dickens' original story to date. This month on What A Cartoon Movie, join us many, many sleeps before Christmas as we discuss and celebrate this beloved holiday film!

If you're ever in Atlanta, GA I would highly recommend visiting the Center for Puppetry Arts. It's a fantastic museum dedicated to all types of puppetry, including stop motion. Almost half of the museum is dedicated just to Jim Henson and they regularly rotate the puppets on display.
