After a month full of travel and illness, we've got a ton to discuss on our regularly scheduled community podcast. We talk about Simpsons news including new shorts and eyewitness accounts of the D23 panel. Then we go over everything we've been through in the last month, followed by us responding to some of our fave Patreon comments that may or may not be about nachos. So listen now or we'll send for Horst!

For Portland Pizza suggestions, my wife and I loved getting Baby Doll Pizza on SE Stark when we lived there.

Jeff Gerstmann played through some of Cyberpunk 2077 in the last few weeks; had a pretty bad time with it including a bug that wiped a bunch of his in-game inventory. Nice to hear Henry did the boat tour in Chicago, that thing’s great. Me and my dad were in Chicago for about 36 hours, and the boat tour was an excellent way to get a lot of the sightseeing/tourist stuff done quickly. The interviews were great by the way.

Chicago deep dish isn't pizza, its lasagna. I will die on this hill. Tavern Style / St. louis style is more savory and less "filling" - if you ever come across a Monicals Pizzeria, I highly suggest checking it out. :3 oh, good new about Faxes - A significant portion of what are now faxes, are now E-faxes - no physical paper involved at all! Say I had a .pdf file on my computer that I needed to send. I could email it, but I can also bypass that using a program called RightFax which will send my documents to someone's "fax number" which transfers the file straight to their computer. The document will drop right into a folder. So you can just think of a folder on your C: drive as a fax machine that only receives faxes.

I finished another round of Hades in the other room while Bob was recording this. I used Twin Fists

Bob, if you have time to pop over to Hillsboro while you're in Portland (20-30 minute drive), you simply MUST hit up Next Level Pinball. This place is absolutely bonkers...$20 entry fee and you get access to 400+ pinball and arcade games, all set to free play. Last time I was there I spent like 2 hours playing the new Stern Godzilla machine. Also for places to eat in Portland, check out Jojo's new spot in NW...they just opened a brick and mortar restaurant after years as a food truck, all Bill Oakley approved!

As someone who just recovered from COViD, those home tests are sometimes bogus. If you had COViD symptoms but kept testing negative via rapid home tests (like I did...took 3 (2 different brands) in the span of 3 days), I recommend taking the actual hospital test to confirm if it's covid or not. That's the only way I determined it was actually covid and not the flu, etc.

On the subject of Brownie the Elf. When I was growing up in Pensacola, FL, there was a sports bar in the town named "Kooter Browns" and it had a little elf next to the banner. I did not put it together until this episode that the whole bar was Cleveland Browns themed and that outside must have been Brownie the Elf. Thanks for the podcast and thanks for clarifying this memory lol.

Oh hell yes on the Mr Magoo! Gilbert Gottfried loved that one. Him and Mario Cantone had awesome arguments about it as I figure Bob may have heard?

Whoa, Gurren Lagann? Not a big anime guy, but I loved that show. Wish I could watch it again for the first time.

My wife’s family has a tradition of watching Magoo every Christmas, so I’m hoping this wins. Please weigh my single vote as 10 people please.

Regarding the discussion of Bob and Henry’s inevitable AI replacements: ai: “Looks like those clowns at Disney did it again. What a bunch of clowns.” Old Henry: “Man, that thing’s great!” Old Bob: “Don’t praise the machine!”
