This week Conor Lastowka from Rifftrax and the 372 Pages We'll Never Get Back podcast returns for a biblical experience of a podcast! As Homer runs afoul of PBS and Betty White, he heads to a stereotypical island in the South Pacific to not NOT lick toads. So stay tuned for his adventures... or should we say misadventures? Listen now or Jebus will punish you!

When I was in my late teens, in addition to sharing my cringy takes on the No Homer’s Club forums, my other hobbies included lightly and poorly trolling Christianforums.com. The little tag line that accompanied my avatar was “Save me, Jebus!” And a moderator made me change it because it was “irreverent.” I think of that time with regret whenever this episode, or “Jebus” in general comes up, so I have a similar Jebus reaction to our hosts I think, but mine is mostly related to self-loathing.

A few thoughts: - Bob saying S12 is overall better gave me pause, and looking at the episode guide again, I think he's right, but it didn't matter. I kind of relate this dynamic to The Office S8 and S9: the latter season was a demonstrable improvement but the previous season was soooooo bad (after an already considerable decline with Toby as the showrunner) it scared everyone away. And that holds true for The Simpsons. Unfortunately, in their case everyone wasn't shamed into shutting the production down and admitting they fucked up royal. - Henry needs to check out the B.C. strip from the '50s and '60s when it was anything but passive; cynical and violent as hell, before Johnny Hart found Jesus. - "Save me Jebus" is the only saving grace. This episode blows. - You can give due praise to Scully and MacFarlane for all the union stuff, but no amount of unionization changes the fact that everyone names a Scully episode as the one that made them stop watching or that Family Guy ruined primetime cartoons.

I must say, you are very brutal in your honesty, lol. That's nothing against you though.
