We're heading back to the world of Acme Acres to explore a proper episode of the early '90s classic cartoon, Tiny Toon Adventures! And if you listened to our episode of What A Cartoon Movie! about the direct-to-video feature, you'll know that Plucky Duck is by far our favorite character. That seemed to be the opinion of both Warner Bros. and Fox, because in 1992 he got his own cynical Saturday morning spinoff that consisted of mostly recycled content. But the single original episode produced for The Plucky Duck Show remains one of TTA's finest outings, and stands as a fascinating look into the Hollywood hubbub of 1991. So join us as we explore the hilarious and lavishly animated exploits of Tiny Toons' wacky, egomaniac-y duck!

I had that daffy batman McDonald's toy

I was sure that a few years ago Sean Young had suggested that Ridley Scott made a pass at her and her rejection was part of her career downturn and naturally this podcast reminded me of that. I went to see if I could find it, and luckily I did via reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/bladerunner/comments/7mqxkp/sean_young_aint_holding_back/). Given what we know about Hollywood in general in a post-Me Too era, I'm inclined to believe her, and regardless of Scott, I'm sure this kind of thing had a lot to do with her career tanking and her bizarre behaviour surrounding Catwoman (assuming, of course, that this wasn't her intentionally creating drama). I still enjoyed this Tiny Toons ep a lot, especially for it taking potshots at Tim Burton, but it really sucks how awful she was treated in media because of this stuff. And two years later she's the butt of that awful, awful transphobic "joke" in Ace Ventura. She deserved a lot better.
