This week's What A Cartoon! takes us back to Fox's Kids and the early 1990s as guest Dave Rudden brings us into Bobby's World. The Howie Mandel passion project ran for a surprisingly long time, and we dig into the bits that are better than we remember and the stuff that's much more awkward than we recall. All while regaling y'all with stories of swimming, siblings, and almost drowning!

I never liked Bobby's World. His overactive imagination and literal mindedness turned me away. It might be the reason why I've always hated bare feet. Coincidentally, this is the only episode I remember from the show.

I haven't thought about this show in at least 25 years. I was way older than Bobby when i first saw the show, didn't like the voice, and thought the animation was too simple. Meanwhile i loved Muppet Babies and the first couple seasons of Rugrats so it was probably just the animation quality. I did see Howie Mandel once at a county fair which i only remember since my dad videotaped everything in those days.
