As Lisa gets another makeover, we welcome back Merritt K (check out her new game, Fledgling Manor) to help us make sense of this 2003 satire! It's primarily a lengthy parody of the Tim Rice/Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Evita, and we do our best to figure out which songs are being referenced. Plus, this musical episode features Michael Moore, leading us all to reflect on the politics of 2003, 2013, and today. Not to mention a history of Elvis kissing bats and theme park zombies in this melodic podcast!

I feel like I was one of the few who saw Moore's "Fahrenheit 11/9" movie in theaters in fall 2018, two years after the fatal election. It was a sparse crowd and it definitely did not meet the success of Fahrenheit 9/11 at the box office as I feel everyone at the time was resigned to and exhausted by living in a Trump presidency, but it was a movie that surprised me and should have been seen more. It has some of the "Trump is orange man" jokes but is also very frank about just how badly the Obama administration and Hillary's campaign screwed the pooch in key areas that would set the stage for Trump gaining a lot of attentive followers. It came out at a time when most Democrats wanted to stick their fingers in their ears and post #Resist memes instead of admitting their own faults. Well, here we are at another neck-and-neck election with old Donnie three elections in a row. Though I wouldn't mind seeing an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical about him.

It's kinda crazy, it's not a great episode, it's not fully a good episode, and yet "SWATCH WATCH, MILLHOUSE" lives rent free in mine and my bithers head to this day, and I have quoted "I wash my face" in real life (not as a slam against anyone, more a random thing to say. Let alone, I tucked me shirt I to my underpants Another suitcase in a odd little episode

Sorry to do this, but we’re mere weeks from the next election, and I know that loan forgiveness has been a regular topic for the hosts. I’m dropping this link here, because I honestly do not think that the Biden accomplishes get heard enough amidst the disappointments and skepticism: “A student loan cancellation program for public workers has granted relief to more than 1 million Americans — up from just 7,000 who were approved before it was updated by the Biden administration two years ago.” https://apnews.com/article/student-loan-cancellation-forgiveness-debt-774b0ee69f911f68f646a066031ee604

I liked turn-of-the-century Will Ferrell well enough, but I realize I've been "getting around to Elf" for 20 years now.

Whenever Kamala touts an endorsement from a Bush Administration war criminal ghoul, people ask "who is this even for???" Well I think the answer to that is Al Jean.

Hey hey, if Henry’s near the Valve offices, maybe he can flag down any of the Idle Thumbs / Campo Santo crew for guest sometime?

Literally every time I’m packing my son’s bag for school and he has music or art that day (We say “PE” not “Gym” in the UK) I start belting out Skinner’s song from this episode
