No chapters tonight. I wrote out the scene I had planned in the past, which had Randidly's grandpa kidnapping while Randidly used that token military cook to defeat them, but I just got tired of it. It felt like filler.

All that to say, I am going to cut that out and focus on the interesting parts. The arc should be over in two days, and then we will be on to Shal's world.

I was actually kinda bummed because I saw someone guess the trick of this arc in a comment. But we will soldier onward!

Also, for those of you who weren't aware, I asked on the Discord about input for how I do the next arc. I think the consensus was to sprinkle in Earth chapters in the arc. Thoughts?

Good idea to have chapters about earth. As they say, too much of one thing can be harmful. Pace the different chapters, it would be weird if you just suddenly cut off what's going on in Donnyton entirely.

Yeah, having earth chapters intermittently sprinkled about would be great, and having another a new zone joining earth without Randidily hovering over everyones shoulder should be interesting.

I want the earth chapters to have a bit of "life of the average citizen" for both zone 1 and 33.

Also is the "turning people into Raid Bosses" the trick of the arc?

It would be nice to see how other zones developed. Are there other zones which used a combination of technology and system.

If RG creates domain skill outside cohort 7...will it even matter? Updates on the undying hero situation and Nemesia are worth a few chapters. Not too keen on flashbacks.

I’ll say I like how you did it the last time RG was on shals planet, with barely any earth chapters and the pure focus that was put into his/the goal. Only if there is maybe updates from either chat or from neveah if she doesn’t go could be nice. I could see earth chapters if there’s a whole other big issue that needs to be handled by someone that would be interesting to see “evolve”.

I agree and think that there should be some Earth sprinkled in, perhaps focusing on Donnyton getting its pound of flesh. It would be cool to see Donny specifically take the undying down, and then the results of that, perhaps leading into donnyton uniting the zone to end the nemesis. Of course relations and helping zone 1 recover after Ghost goes all Jenova and RG takes him down for sacrificing people for his own body, sad because he wants to “live” too but justified in that he’s a dick for doing what he did. Perhaps also as the zones become united we see the portal to the other world become more united and helping to settle in, and the overall result of the sure to be awesome adventure of RG in Shals world could perhaps be that Shals world connects to Earth too. And maybe RG would start schools for Earth warriors, Shals world warriors, and the animal people, to diverse themselves. Like an overall magic school, that slowly branches as it grows into specific ever growing regions. A spear school, maybe just an overall warrior school with the spear having an honored spot, but not THE honored spotlight stealer. A crafting school that does armor, runes, drones etc. A logistics and village support school. And heck maybe just a school school. All of this would take a pretty decent amount of chapters to just start the echoes of all the schools and stuff, and everything in between would surely be awesome. Just a few thoughts that might be cool to play on. Regardless you’ve been brilliant so far and we can’t wait for however you continue to write RG. The decisions and direction you’ve been taking has been a blasty blast, and not a single chapter lacks in adding flavor and depth to this Legend. Thank you!

To clarify what I mean to diverse he warriors from earth and the two worlds is maybe Earth could help them all not feel like they are useless is they don’t fit in their planets mold and could be a place where they can grow strong too. Earth could be a place that unites and uplifts the individuality that creates awesome powerful teamwork that Shals world really lacks by the spear schools stuffing them out and the result of their calamity looming over and defining their world. It would be almost poetic that that is what RG does with the legacy of the Spear Phantom

I think it be a bad idea to connect shals world with earth because a lot of bad people would come over and use earth resources to fight against the calamity on their own world

I agreed with a lot of these arguments but i would love for things not to be too confusing for the Reader. As long as i can still follow the plot i dont mind earth chapters but i would also like to immerse myself in RGs struggle and journey in shals world :)

I think you should mostly focus on shal's world while that is the focus of the arc wth occasional chapters to update on the situation of earth and from neavah's point of view some too :D (as I assume neavah would stay in case randidly needs to be summoned back to be able to return since the teleporters are controlled plus that if he is under attack and flees to earth like that even a master cannot chase him or block his escape to earth.)

And yet another voice for the "do not lose track of the main plotline" chorus :)

If you do add on the side chapters, don't have RG side of the story jump around. Why not have some of Donnyton's elites accompany him to Shal's world so they can experience what it's like to face against real threats. Would be hilarious if Tatiana went with him as well. EDIT: What about following the VIPs of Donnyton as it grows for the side chapters, I have been curious as to how the town was growing when RG was away.

I approve of sprinkling in some Earth chapters here and there, especially when Randidly is doing something boring/time-consuming, so you get a feeling of time passing. Speaking of alternate POVs, it would be nice to see a chapter focusing on Arbor or Thorn; Their progression is not tied to Randidly's choices anymore, which means we haven't seen much about them at all - it would be interesting to see how one of these growth choices play out nowadays, and get some information on what their stats and abilities are like. Oh, and Randidly definitely ought to plant a few Arbor branches in Shal's World...
