Hey guys 👋 Hope you've all been enjoying the new update 🥰 I just updated it again yesterday to fix a minor bug in Chapter 6 and a whole bunch of typos and grammatical errors fixes. Anyway, moving on, in this Progress Update, I wanna talk a little bit more about the Quickstart/Skip Chapter function and the Autosave and Reload function and about what's coming in the coming weeks.

So, first of all, the side story and spicy side story that was voted last month will be coming in the next week or so. I'm so sorry for the delay 😅 I was really absorbed in working on the update and figuring out on how to implement the whole new systems, which sometimes made me want to pull out of my own hair out of frustration 😂 What's worse is I'm the kind of person who will obsess over my problems, so I literally poured all of my focus, effort, and free time to try making them work and they finally do work great! 💖

I'll also be opening side story and spicy side story suggestions/ideas request for next month's batch of side stories! 🥰 So, get your ideas ready! 🤭

Okay, now time for me to talk about the Quickstart and Autosave/Reload functions. How do you guys feel about them? I hope they've been pretty useful and provide some convenience 😁 Let me know in the comment section below or in the #patreon-general-discussion channel in Discord! I'd love to hear what you guys think about them.

The reason why I spent so much time trying to figure out all of these systems--especially the Autosave/Reload function is because I'm planning to expand more on them as the demo goes on and becomes longer. I'm already thinking about adding another Quickstart point at Chapter 3 soon 🤔 And I'll be adding more of these Quickstart points throughout the story in either an important chapter or every three chapters or so.

Also, I'm really happy the Autosave/Reload function works perfectly because I will be able to bring that over to the final game where there will be no save slots like the demo currently in dashingdon. I'll definitely be adding this function to every chapter, and the way it works is that it will automatically autosave the state of  your stats once you begin a new chapter and you will get options to reload and try other choices and stuff either in the middle of a long chapter or at the end of the chapter.

I've also been thinking about maybe crating various automatic and permanent saves, probably at every Quickstart point, so if you're not that satisfied with what you have chosen or wanna try other outcomes, but the relevant events were a few chapters ago, you can go back to the beginning of that important chapter, even if you're already two or three chapters pass that. 

For example, I add this permanent save spot at the beginning of Chapter 3. You played through it, you chose kill the commissioner and you regretted it in Chapter 5 or 6, or maybe you just want to see different outcome if you did not kill him, then you should be able to reload back to the beginning of Chapter 3 and play again from there even though you're already many chapters pass that, instead of playing again from the beginning.

I think that would be a pretty neat thing to also have in the final game later on! 😁 I've always disliked how final games don't have save slots, and yes, I have replayed a game from the beginning because I accidentally clicked the wrong choice before 😂 So, once I make my own game, you bet I'll try to minimize the same possible detracting experience I've had.
