Progress Update (23 January 2023) (Patreon)

Hey guys 👋 Time for another progress update.

It has been a pretty productive week for me in terms of writing. Around a week ago, I managed to write around 7K but this week, that word count has leaped up to 26.7K words 😄 I'm pretty surprised myself because it feels like I don't move as much, but that must be because I was writing the many variations of the talk with Luka and Grandpa, and I was not kidding when I said that there are a lot of variations because I have to bring up variables and choices MC made during the mission in Chapter 3 Part 2. I'll also post another sneak peek/snippet tomorrow, so stay tuned for that 👀😁

However, a bit of downer news: A couple of days ago, I got sore throat and a little fever. Right now, the fever is gone and the sore throat is far better now, but instead, I'm currently plagued with a stuffy nose that made it feel as if the right side of my head is clogged with cotton. 

But, I still managed to get a lot of writing done and I actually finally finished the most complicated and varied part of the chapter. A little behind-the-scenes sneak peek at the type of coding and variations I had to deal with these past couple of days, here are some screenshots:

I had to do all of this coding three times 😭 This actually made me realize that I have to start making MCs focus and narrowing their choices of future endings path that they're interested in because it's getting a bit out of hand 😅 It's excruciating to code and to write the variations. I tried to streamline the coding as much as I could, and this is the best that my fever-addled mind could come up with. 

Anyway, you'll be able to focus entirely on one ending path or choose two (one that they're more interested in than the other). For now, I'm still locking the civilian path choices because it's still a tentative path and as for the superhero path, for now, I'm still sticking to my initial plan and reserving it for MCs who are willing to reconnect with Yvette.

I'm still pretty confident that I'll be able to finish Chapter 5 this month, but the side stories and Q&A answers might have to get a bit delayed to the beginning week of next month. Because of this, I'll be adding an extra few days for the side stories polls and the accepting of the Q&A questions.
