October 2022 - Q&A Session (Part 2) (Patreon)

Hey guys 👋 Here's the second and last part of the answers to this month's Q&A session. I think this one is even longer than the first one because there are a lot of full-cast ROs questions here (maybe I should limit the full-cast ROs questions a bit in the future 😅) Hope you guys enjoy it!

"How are you able to be so efficient?"

With the help of unhealthy and ruined sleep schedules and my own cursed work ethic that made me feel guilty if I don't make a lot of progress 😂

"Is Mayor Moore related to Skylar or is it just a case of unrelated people having the same last name?"

Yes! To this day, you’re still the only one who noticed and asked me about it 😆 Mayor Moore is Skylar’s father. You’ll learn more about their relationship with their father on their route 😉

"Random facts about Rin's family? Do they have abilities? If so what are they?"

If you ever wonder where Rin gets their more dignified and elegant disposition (especially since Takashi is so easygoing, boisterous, playful, and can such be a lovable himbo sometimes 😂), it is from their mother, Azami.

Rin has little twin siblings, Nariko (the female and older twin by a few minutes) and Kaito (the male and younger twin), both around 10 years old. Nariko is more similar to Takashi (energetic, mischievous, can be a bit impulsive, gregarious) while Kaito is more similar to Azami (calm, reserved, collected, and is also most of his twin sister's impulse control 😆, but can still be mischievous as well like his twin).

They do have abilities, and I actually haven't thought too many details into it before you asked the question. But, after giving it some thought, right now, I would say:

Azami: Hypnotic Music - Able to affect and shift moods, and hypnotize a person (to a certain degree) by playing songs on musical instruments

Nariko: Electrokinesis - Electricity manipulation

Kaito: Hydrokinesis - Water manipulation

"Will the MC meet Rin's family?"

Yes 😉If you go down Rin's route.

"Do the ROs have any "minor" fears such as insects, heights, clowns ect.?"

Ooh interesting! Note that these "minor" fears are not really to the point of being debilitating or anything serious. Maybe some stuff that they find unnerving and try to avoid if possible.

Ash: Fear of heights.

Rin: Fear of insects.

Santana: Fear of darkness.

Skylar: Fear of tight spaces.

"A soft headcanon about all the ROs."

Ash: 

Since MC has been having nightmares ever since that night in the alleyway, Ash has become sensitive and usually keeps an ear out if MC cries out at night from the night terrors. If they do catch it, they would rush to MC's room and check on them 🥺

Rin: 

Would be okay and maybe even love it if MC has and calls them by a ridiculous nickname that only the two of them know the story behind, as long as the both of them are in private, of course 😂 They do have an image they have to maintain in front of other people and strangers. And if case you're wondering, they would also totally be calling MC some stupid and insider nickname affectionately.

Santana: 

Among all the other ROs, they would be the one who will be able to best understand and sympathize with MC's nightmares, since they too often have it from using their abilities in crime scenes. They would readily accompany and comfort MC in whichever way MC wants or feels comfortable with, even if they'll have to sacrifice their already meagre hours of sleep and rest 😔

Skylar: 

Would often take flights around the city to get some private and alone time or to clear their mind. They can be pretty recognizable sometimes, even with some disguise and especially in certain more affluent parts of the city. The only place other than home where they could truly and assuredly be alone is up in the skies. Which means, MC should expect a lot of romantic flights around the city when with Skylar 😆

"How would the ROs react deep in the relationship to finding a wedding ring hidden in MC's stuff somewhere?"

Ash: 

Would be a chaotic mix of flustered, panicking, elatedness, and anxiousness. Debate with themself about whether they should hide the wedding ring, but in the end, they worry about accidentally losing or misplacing it, so they just left it where it is. 

Would have a hard time keeping a straight face around MC now and would be anxious and rushing to browse for some rings to buy. Probably asking Luka (or Rin in the poly?) for help.

Rin:

Couldn't help the soft smile coming unbidden on their lips, which soon turns into a small smirk as they decide to hide the wedding ring somewhere safe. They can't have MC beating them to the punch, of course. 

Would probably try to discreetly measure MC's ring finger to order a custom ring for MC. And, unlike Ash, would have no problem keeping a straight face around MC despite knowing the 'forbidden' knowledge 😂

Santana:

Similar to Ash, they would be a mix of anxiousness and elatedness. They are of course really happy that their and MC's relationship can progress to the next stage, but they're anxious because they should now start looking for rings for MC too.

They don't want to skimp out on it, of course, but they're also not sure how much disposable income or savings they have right now and what will it be able to buy. Would it even be able to match the lavishness of the ring MC bought for them?

Skylar:

Would be really elated and would have a hard time containing their happiness around MC, grinning like an idiot and throwing knowing glances at MC or even wiggling their eyebrows.

Would scour every high-end jewelry store to look for the perfect ring for MC. Might enlist the help of Yvette (depends on MC's feelings about her though).

"Do you have any voice claims for the characters?"

I don't, unfortunately 😅 I have never been the type of person to pay special attention to voices in movies, films, or games and my knowledge of VAs (Voice Actors) is really slim.

"What is the rarest superpower for someone to have? (I'd imagine Grandpa's and Viktor's powers are quite rare)"

Ooh, interesting! 🤔 I'm actually not really sure myself. Indeed, some powers can be much more common than the others, such as pyrokinesis, hydrokinesis, haemokinesis, etc. But that doesn't mean all of those with the same powers are capable of using them at the same level. 

Some people are just born with higher capabilities in using their power and some less fortunate ones with the same power might be able to at least get to that level through long and intensive training. For example, Yvette's empathy is considerably more potent than Ronald's (The Bully), and just a minuscule percentage of Haemokinetics can achieve the deadly feats that Jackal is capable of.

But you're right, Viktor's power is actually quite rare, a power to copy another person's power. Grandpa's might be uncommon, not exactly rare, but in his youth and peak, his mastery and amazing capabilities in using his compulsion ability to new heights can indeed bump it up to rare. I would say MC's umbrakinesis is also pretty rare, especially MC's high capability in using it.

"AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF WITH NSFW 🗿: RO’s reaction to the MC riling them up and then leaving them to suffer due to being called away?"

NSFW-ish answers incoming, tread at your discretion 😆

Ash: Would be grumpy, snappy, and in a bad mood for the rest of the day. Would probably pounce on MC once they’re back, be prepared for hot and passionate lovemaking 😳.

Rin: Ooh, how naughty of MC 😏 Two can play that game. Would “punish” MC with an edging session once MC is back.

Santana: Oh, of course, of course. Whatever MC is being called for, it must've been something more important than their own gratification, right? But still, they can't help but go back to work distracted, their mind keeps wandering to how the encounter with MC could've gone instead. Would be ready to continue where they left off once MC is back.

Skylar: Do you really have to go now, MC? Surely we can do something real quick? No? Aww, alright. Would be pouty and distracted the whole day and might... take matters into their own hands. Once MC is back, be prepared for a long and exhausting lovemaking session.

"NSFW: If the ROs were to roleplay a fantasy (like sexy nurse, etc), which one would they pick?"

NSFW-ish answers incoming, tread at your discretion😆

This is actually the hardest question to answer yet and I'm still not completely sure about the answers themselves 😂

Ash: Hmm 🤔 Not really sure since all they ever want, even in their fantasy, is MC 😂 Or maybe MC can roleplay as a firefighter during spicy times with Ash?

Rin: Boss/employee roleplay (they're the boss of course 😆) or the classic gentleman/lady and butler/maid roleplay?

Santana: Cop/criminal or erotic massage therapist roleplay.

Skylar: Superhero/Supervillain roleplay (and yes, they would totally wear their superhero suit for it 🤣), classic sexy doctor/nurse, or cowboy/cowgirl roleplay?

"Would Aunt Cara approve of MC & Ash getting together?"

Can't approve even more than she already was. She has always thought little MC and little Ash hanging out together is so adorable (she definitely often squealed inside from the cuteness).

She was also aware that Ash had a hard time connecting with their peers other than MC, so she was sure MC would be one of the very few people who would truly be able to bring happiness to her child.

"Would Aunt Cara ever have been ok if MC considered her their mother? Or at least her being their maternal influence?"

Of course! She would have been more than okay. She would be really touched and honored and would be there whenever MC needs any help or motherly advice that Viktor and Luka couldn't provide!

"For a bold & charming MC who openly flirts with Ash, does Ash actually believe MC reciprocates feelings?"

There are times where Ash is convinced that MC might actually feel the same thing as they do as well. But then, they would quickly squash that thought, not really daring to get their hopes up. After all, for all they know, MC might only be friendly and joking with them like always and that they're just misinterpreting and over-analyzing every little things to support their own feelings.

"What would MC have to do to make all of the ROs flustered or blush?"

Ash: MC is already doing it to them in the current chapters 😂 Being bold and openly flirting with them will get the best and guaranteed result, but even just MC shyly reciprocating or showing them subtle affectionate gestures is usually enough to fluster them.

Rin: It's hard not only because they are flirtatious, but also because they are the most emotionally composed RO. But being genuine and soft with them might occasionally get them to blush, maybe not fluster to the point like Ash does. 

Santana: Just showering them with open affection and care, even in front of their colleagues will be able to fluster them or at least make them blush 😆

Skylar: Bold of you to assume that anyone can make them blush, much less fluster them 🤣 They can be really shameless at times while still being charming as hell doing it. They might be the one who try to make MC blush or flustered instead.

"Who’d cry more at Rin & MC’s wedding, Rin or their father?"

100%, undoubtedly, without a question, Takashi would cry more than Rin 😂 Rin might not even shed a tear during their own wedding, but not because they don't feel touched or happy, they extremely are, it's just as I said before: They are a really emotionally composed person, especially on the outside. They would probably be smiling a lot though.

"If Viktor & Aunt Cara got to come back to life for 1 day in the present, how’d they want to spend it?"

Viktor: Spending every second of it with MC is going to be his priority, bringing MC (and maybe Ash) to the favorite places he often went with MC in the past. Would also visit and spend some time with his remaining family, Luka, Grandpa, and Cara. Would most likely make amends with Grandpa too, for both his own and Grandpa's closures and peace of mind 😔 If MC gets on with either Skylar or Santana, then he would want to meet them too and judge them before giving them shovel talks himself.

Cara: Would love to hang out with Ash, MC, Viktor, and Luka again... just like old times. Doing just anything, as long she is in their presence and just enjoying the conversations and interactions with each other. She would commit this last memory to mind before knowing she had to go again... 😥

"Would Best Uncle Luka be ok with walking f!MC or f!Ash down the aisle for their wedding?"

He expects nothing less from MC or Ash, of course 😎 In fact, he would probably be sad, hurt, and offended if MC or Ash didn't ask him to 😥 He knows he's not Viktor, but he'd like to think that he has at least become somewhat of a father-figure to MC and Ash...

"Has Uncle Luka ever felt like he failed at trying to raise MC & Ash after their parents were killed?"

A lot of time, and even until now, he's still constantly worried and thinking about whether he has managed to raise MC and Ash in the ways that Viktor and Cara would've wanted them to be raised.

Many times he has also been torn in between doing and teaching what he thinks is best for MC and their safety and survival and Viktor's own morals before he died.

In the end, Luka also experiences a lot of survival guilt over the years, even though it's getting better, but he hasn't been able to get over it completely and I feel like this also fuels his feeling of being a failure in raising MC and Ash.

"Does Yvette believe that she even can reconcile with MC after everything or is it just a hope?"

I think it also depends on MC's reactions to her in the comic book store encounter, since she could actually feel MC's hatred of her thtrough her empathy. If MC really hates her, then it's just a really slim, sliver of hope that MC's hatred might lessen overtime and that they would change their mind and give her a chance, but even in the back of her mind, she knows it's nigh impossible. If MC doesn't really hate her, then she's more hopeful, but will probably not reach a level of actually believing that she has the chance of reconciling.

"What got you into writing? What inspired Vendetta?"

I would say that what drives me to get into writing is first my love for reading novels and just consuming stories in general and then combined with my own pretty active imagination, what better way to express my ideas out than through writing 😄

While what inspired Vendetta is a bit challenging to answer because I'm also not really sure where the idea exactly came from, it feels like it just popped up in my head one night. But most likely, the idea and concept are inspired and influenced by a mix of my own love for a good (and angsty) revenge stories,  superhero/superpowered stories, crime and action movies, and morally grey protagonists 😆

"Is Yvette going to judge or try to change a ruthless Heir MC?"

Not really, I think 😆 If MC hates her and does not want to reconcile with her, then there's nothing she can really do, right? She's just thankul that MC and the Morozovs decide to leave her alone in peace. 

If MC decides to reconcile with her, she might try to subtly ask and advise MC about their ruthlessness, but if MC is adamant on not changing, then she would not push her luck even further and ruin her hard-won relationship with MC by trying to change them.

Also, she's retiring soon anyway and as cold as it sounds, the safety of the city and its inhabitants are no longer going to be her problems. Even for other still-active superheroes, taking down Heir MC (and the Morozovs), who are basically one of the kingpins in the city, are way out of their leagues and pay checks 😂 She's also getting too old to care about that kind of stuff that is totally out of her control and just want to spend the rest of her days living peacefully.
