We burned the candle! (Patreon)

We lugged the 63 lb candle (yep, we weighed it) to my parents house and burned it!! This thing burned like a champ.

We had it going for like an hour and it only went through maybe 1-1.5 inches of wax, but I can’t say it was a clean burn haha. At some point, we realized it was no longer the wicks burning - it was just the wax itself, like a big pool of oil fueling the fire.

Oh yeah, and our DIY snuffer worked GREAT!

Overall this project was so fun. Now, as is often the case, we just have to figure out what to do with the remnants of this giant candle (it got NASTY on the outside… wax spilled out and the galvanized coating is now flaking due to the heat) -K
