THICK (Patreon)

I don’t know if y’all have heard of “Thick It” but it’s basically a powdery substance you add to liquids to make them thicker. It was created as like a medical supplement for people who have difficulty swallowing, but we wanted to use it for a new, cursed purpose: making thick coffee.

Honestly we thought of a bunch of different liquids to try. Unus Annus did thick water on their channel so we considered thick coffee, thick soda, thick milk, thick wine, etc. Honestly I want to try a lot of those. (Note from Evan: "please no") But we thought first we’d try thick coffee, since we thought there was more of a chance of it surprising us and maybe being good (well, EVAN thought maybe it would be good… I had my doubts). Anyways, it was a REALLY fun video to film and the video will be live this Friday.

On a broader note, it’s been really fun and interesting doing so many second channel videos this year. I know from a smart-business-person perspective it would make the most sense to channel all our time into the main channel, and not do any second channel (or gaming channel) videos. But we feel like the second channel and gaming channel are like our fun little low-stakes playgrounds where we can just mess around without worrying as much about audience expectations or analytics. Speaking of the second channel specifically, it’s been so fun to have somewhere to experiment with different formats that just don’t make sense for the main channel, or projects that we want to do but we feel are too small or not unique enough for the main channel.
