A question we got from several people after the last post about our velvet toilet seat was “how will you clean it? 🤢🤢🤢” (I added the emoji’s but I imagine they were there in spirit). As we mentioned, we had plans to do some “waterproofing” tests on the small scale pieces but ALSO Evan’s parents came over and his mom suggested testing how they hold up to cleaning products, not just liquid in general.

So we sprayed some cleaner with bleach on it and… well it removed some of the flocking and left marks on the test pieces. But it didn’t TOTALLY ruin it! -Katelyn

Just putting it out there, but you may want to complete the experience by flocking the toilet paper as well.

Wouldn't Scotch Guard for upholstery work? Shouldn't need too harsh of cleaners to clean it then, just soap and water, I would think.
