Hey guys! So this week's project is VERY different for us... we're gonna make a transparent monitor! It's not the most practical thing necessarily, but it sometimes coolness is a higher priority than practicality haha. So we're basically taking apart a monitor, extracting the parts we need, and building a new wooden frame/stand for it. Then maybe I'll have Evan sit behind it so I can photoshop silly doodles over his face ;P <3 Katelyn

How do you deal with the backlight? If it's not an OLED Monitor, then it needs a light source, because the LCD is only "dimming and coloring" the light from behind. If you remove the backlight, you might not see a picture on the monitor in the dark. If you replace the backlight with another light source, then beware of interference, when the other light source is pulse-width modulated and not in sync with the frequency of the LCD driver.
