Mini Vlog - Audio Adventures (Patreon)

Hey guys! It's crazy to think that one of our very first Patreon goals  a couple  years ago was to upgrade our audio and we got this little mic to stick on top of our previously mic-less camera...

And now... we FINALLY feel like we've gotten out audio gear to a proper place. Having to capture audio from two people has always been a tricky issue to solve and our lav mics we've been using for a couple years seemed to be degrading, especially recently. So we finally spent some money on SERIOUS audio equipment.

This mini vlog is the first thing we recorded with the new setup, and while we can hear we still need to tweak a few things in the settings, it's SO much better straight out of the camera than any audio we've had before. Usually it requires multiple layers of effects, a lot of manual audio gain adjustments up or down because we speak at different volumes, and we often have had statics and or clicking in our audio. So we'll keep making a few minor tweaks, but we are REALLY happy with it. Here's what the new equipment looks like:

Right now it's mounted to a separate tripod next to our camera but we're waiting on a mount to arrive that will let us place both of them on the same tripod.
