We've been getting a lot of requests in the comments to try soap making. We started watching soap making videos and holy crap, it's like resin-adjacent! There are chemicals, pigments, interesting molds, mix-ins, time limits before the whole thing starts kicking... I'm super excited. Our first video will probably be more of an experimentation/learning video, kinda like our first resin video was (this one if ya missed it:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdDFDm4UDok ). Then I think on our next video, once we have more of a handle on it, we're gonna try to make geode soaps. Which ironically was our first resin project right after the initial test video. I could make geodes all day.

We also finished up our Ocean Resin test pieces and I think we'll hang them somewhere, maybe in the shop. It's rare a test piece actually turns out nice!

We just added one more layer of clear/waves. Evan's (on the right) still looks better than mine, but I did his second layer of waves so I get at least 10% credit ;P

After the Old Spice video saga and spending the past 2 months with 0 lead, I think we're gonna take another buffer week! It's tough because it kinda feels like we just took one last month, but it didn't gain us any lead, just allowed us to not fall behind terribly when we went to Evan's family reunion. We'll keep you guys posted here though on the soap video even if it doesn't come out til one week later.

Hope everyone's having a great weekend!

Are you making soap from complete scratch or one of the pre mades that you then add your own smell to?

Larysa Jaworski

Did you see Safiya's soap attempt, it was really funny. Can't wait to see yours, I bet it'll be even funnier! :D

Evan and Katelyn

Yes!! She tried the more advanced technique, which we do wanna try later, but our first will be more about experiments. Loved her video! -K
