This video was a rollercoaster to make! You can see how unsure we were about how it'd turn out in the aftershow.

- How long it actually took us
- Thoughts on Bob Ross paintings
- Uncertainty about this edit (will it be interesting? Ahhh!!)
- What we'd do differently
- Challenges of doing a video that you do in one single sitting
- Balancing making a good video and trying to do the painting right
- Mixing up our content
- Future art challenge brainstorming

We were surprised at how much we ended up liking the edit! Although it took a lot longer to edit than most videos because I didn't already have it edited in my head as we went. But I'm glad it worked out because we'd love to do more videos like this!

Hope y'all are having a great start to your weekend!

This was great! A different falvour from the normal for sure but that to me is a good thing! There are definitely channels that find a "Thing" that works and then they beat it to death without much room for creativity. Just like in business, your channel will need to grow and morph over time to stay healthy and prosperous and doing videos like this help the channel expand into new area's while providing a reprieve from the norm, adding some new flavours in the mix per se! As a camera operator for film and TV, I totally get the differing flow and uncertainty of it. Ya'll nailed it :)

Thanks Stephen! Yeah we definitely don't want to get stuck in one particular thing and ideally we'd love to continue to grow and mix it up. So far this one seems to be being received well, which is a huge relief! I think because we've taken some baby steps towards doing an art type video. But you're totally right, gotta keep growing and evolving to keep it fresh for us and for everyone watching too. -K

I loved the video and I do hope you do more now that your confidence is higher. I am planning to do this with my daughter (her name is Katelyn too) and was wondering what paints you guys used, the cheap or pricey set, and if the cheap set were you happy with it? Thanks!

That's awesome! We used the cheapest ones we could find from Michael's actually. Some we had to get the medium quality and those had less separation, but the cheap should work fine 👍 -K
