Hey y'all! So we did a bunch of small scale tests with the tungsten in, ironically, jumbo D20 molds (they're bigger than normal D20s but not as crazy big as we want to go!). Not every test will make it into the video  because we worried it’d start getting really repetitive though.

The most important tests (the ones that we know will for sure make it into the video) were to figure out juuuuuust how much tungsten we could mix into the resin and still have it cure into something strong enough to not crumble. The side by side photo is a 50/50 ratio and a 60/40. We tried to do 70/30 but that was so thick it wouldn’t even combine haha. We rolled them each 100 times to see how balanced they were, and we also did 1-ft, 2-ft, and 3-ft drops to see if the dice themselves would break.

In the end, the 60/40 was MUCH better balance though the corners of the dice got dinged a bit more since there’s less resin in the ratio. A bunch of other tests we’ve done: brushing powder on the mold for a more metallic surface finish, sanding the faces, polishing the faces, polishing just the edgest, various ways to paint the numbers…to name just some of them. We always go back and forth about how much to include, but since a lot of these could end up giving away what the final BIG dice looks like, we feel like it’s a bit more fun to watch if there’s more of a reveal at the end (especially because nothing particularly exciting has happened in these other tests). Anyways, we’ll keep y’all posted! -Katelyn

I don't know if this is true for everyone.. but it's definitely true for me..The longer the video the better. I'm so interested in every little drop of info and it never gets repetitive for me because I'm not only watching for the video idea, but for your personalities! Each situation/clip is different. Obviously follow your heart with editing, I just wanted to voice that it can never be too long in my eyes :) I mean think about streams.. they aren't edited at all. The uncut channel does pretty well too. There are time when I think the amount of time spent with the end product is pretty quick, which is why I'm an after show viewer! Hope you're having a wonderful day!
