Hey yall, this video is all about separating your musical information (notes) from your rhythmic information (gates and triggers). This is something uniquely Eurorack, and really powerful in all sorts of situations.

Had to sleep on this for a bit because the Patching Panda Particles module wasn't out yet, but they just announced it publically today, so I get to release it now so yeah.

This will be out Sunday. Hope you enjoy.

Been watching and being educated, inspired and entertained by you for years., I’ve been sympathetic to the challenges that you’ve shared trying to grow and evolve while also trying to play the YouTube game. From the OP-1 days to going full time YouTube and your recent move I’ve been inspired by your honesty and vulnerability to trust and give yourself permission to evolve even with the real risks you’ve faced. I’m a product designer and created a brand that I’ve been fortunate enough to have success with that makes mid tier consumer Bluetooth speaker/boomboxes. The marketing and social media game with consumer and press reviews and sending out samples is just maddening and it’s just turned into this machine that everyone seems to be participating without real consideration. I worked in consulting for a long time too and often found that my passion for creating often turned into over-delivering and being under compensated. So I have empathy for some of the challenges you’ve been sharing. I wanted to write to you a few months back to share that I really enjoyed the more educational, historical, informative content you had done… I didn’t get a chance, but the direction you’ve taken the content is exactly what I was hoping for. I’d also be down for taking an online course from you. I really enjoyed the so you want make a sound segments and would enjoy having you really go deeper into sound design and composition in a format outside of YouTube limits. I know that means a smaller audience and I would support with a purchase. Hope this feels supportive snd encouraging. I’m gonna go work late and listen to the Castor and Pollux video for the 100th time. The opening 2 minutes are like turning the windshield wipers on when ADHD symptoms are raining and let me settle into myself to design. Thank you. (I’m going to go share that on the video to help you get some more YT algorithm points… I should have done that already) transport me to

This gave me so many new ideas to tinker with in VCV Rack!
