Hi all,

I was fortunate enough to be asked to do another round of YouTube library tracks. In case you're not aware, YouTube has a big free library of music and SFX for partners on the platform. Search for "YouTube Audio Library" and access the link that goes to your YouTube studio page for access.

I've done 4 rounds of these in total, each one slightly different. I've experimented with a ton of different styles, from rock to classical to IDM to ambient.

This round was a little weird. Originally my intent was to do them all on MASCHINE +, knock out a bunch of sort of "lofi hip hop vlog" vibe tracks. I did 10 of them, and then when I started to mix them in Ableton I realized I didn't like a bunch of them. The ones that stayed are tracks 5-9.

I have been listening to bunch of channels like The Exploring Series, Barely Sociable, and some Vice News mini docs on YouTube. I started to hear how they used music in their videos and was like, oh, I wanna do some of that.

I knocked out tracks 1-4 in about 2 days. Almost all Kontakt instruments. Just insanely easy to write evocative and cinematic stuff with those.

Track 10, I don't even know where it came from. I found it on my hard drive and was like "this works". So that's there too.

Anyways, that's the story. Hope you enjoy the tunes.

Oh dang there's some really great soundscapes in here. I've only listened to the first 30-ish seconds of some of the tracks but I'm definitely looking forward to hearing these in all the YouTube videos.
