Hi all,

One of the things I go over a lot in lessons is how mastering works. While I can't teach you everything, can show you the basic methods I use. I'll be releasing these videos to YouTube in a week or so, but I thought you may find them useful in advance.

I'm using (and recommend) Ozone 9 Advanced for this. The first video deals with using reference tracks to get EQ curves, stereo imaging, and loudness. The second video goes over multiband compression, multiband excitation, and some other tools.

Hope you find this useful. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.

I finally watched the whole thing and I cannot thank you enough! The end result is so sharp and detailed compared to the unmastered. After watching this I see that I never used the exciters the right way. I loved the photography analogy. I'm going to be using these tips 100%. Thanks!

Really enjoyed it. I just got Ozone 9 like a week ago. I have been watching a lot more educational videos on mastering and this was very informative, thanks!
