Happy New Year! Updates 1-2-24 (Patreon)

Howdy!

First, happy new year! Next, thanks for being here!

There's a lot of space on RR to let everyone know how much I appreciate their support, but no author notes on Patreon to do that. I thought about adding them to the text posts, but it looked weird so I didn't do it. I also can't pre-comment on a scheduled post. *shakes fist*

It means a lot to me that everyone is here and reading the story. SRK (Sir Raiu Koren) and I appreciate everyone continuing to support Mage Tank now that the main chapter blitz is over and we're working our way into the 'normal' chapter upload schedule. Really, it blows my mind that so many people are engaging with the work.

In that vein, I wanted to remind everyone that since we're in 2024 the current upload schedule is now Monday, Thursday, and Saturday. Tuesday will be a flex day where I upload an extra here and there as I work my way toward getting Patreon eighteen chapters ahead of RR.

Also, SRK and I have been going back through book 1 and diving deep into figuring out what worked, what didn't, and what could be improved moving forward. We've decided to make a few changes in light of our findings, and I will be creating a "Patch Notes" post in the next couple of weeks detailing any important changes being made. 

We're trying to simplify some of the more confusing aspects of the System and nomenclature (Like Delver levels, tiers, metals, grades, Power Ratings, etc. etc.) We're making Delver level a meaningful indicator of a Delver's strength, rather than... whatever it's doing now. My original idea for the levels hasn't worked out, and I think made things a little confusing. So keep an eye out for that post.

No essential plot elements will be changed. We're endeavoring to make to material cleaner, taking the feedback everyone has given us along the way into account. I'm also going to be trimming some of the fat off the story to make a couple spots move a little quicker. When I've finished with the edits I will make a full PDF and ePub of book 1 available for Kernel and Cob tiers. No promises that the formatting will be amazing, but I'll do my best. That'll probably come out in February.

The main story of book 1 should be entirely posted here by the third week of this month.
