Dev Log 0.37a: Sweet Mommie Milkers (Patreon)

What a week. It started with me making a push to get all the Carla pregnancy sprites done. The build from last week had some notable holes in it because it's just a lot of work to make all those sprites! Given it's also a major build version... I wasn't really comfortable with sending it out into the public sphere with notable errors that I could theoretically solve by rescheduling things by a day or two.

So I fixed it. But at the same time people wouldn't stop reporting bugs! Of course I'm grateful for that. It's the double edge blade of both being a very busy time... but also the last moment before they will also be sent out into the wild for lots of people to see all the visible mistakes I make.

It was double great timing as some other things were happening, but I'll go over them in story time.

All up though, it was a lot of important work that really had to get done. But it came at the cost of a touch of my sanity.

Fortunately Fantasy came through with just a nice little scene that adds onto Carla's breakfast in bed. And by little I mean it's huge! I've no regrets about arranging it being the only new scene I got done. It will play automatically and it will let you have some quality time together with Carla and Sami.

Of course, if Haily's pregnant... well, I'll let you find out from there.

But it is the end of the week and I wanted to strike some low hanging fruit, really fill out the changlog because I like a big fat changlog but instead I discovered there was the regular breakfast in bed scene that now needed all it's art redone for Carla pregnant... So I did that instead.

Oh well, such is the way of weekly sprints. I would say there can't all be winners, but that's just setting my standards way too high, we've had some really fantastic weeks recently and it's hard to compare me at my average to me at my best. Not healthy to do so either!

As for story time, the thing that took up another chunk of my week was my dad going to the hostiple again, turned bright yellow and all that. Horrible numbers and all that so I made sure to visit. Not a great time for it work wise, but I have no regrets in my priorities.

I would like to offer a word of advice to people though, if you happen to be getting discharged from hospital after a life threatening condition, do not inform people with the sentence: They're sending me home because there's nothing more they can do. I get that it's technically true when you're at the stage where you just have to do natural recovery and that you feel like shit... but that phrasing can be stressful for the person you tell it too.

... Sigh

It's been a week. Tomorrow I'm going to return to being human again.
