It's like looking in a mirror. Only... not.

Ok wow. I had no idea. FACE. OFF. Literally 😂

I had fun with this one! The outrageous face-swapping, great music and action, and total 90's vibe plus the over the top performances by 2 huge stars made for quite a spectacle of a movie! Should I check out more Woo, Cage or Travolta?

Thanks for being awesome! 😊

Over the top, you got that right 😂

This movie was meant for Schwarzenegger and Stallone but the director thought Cage and Travolta fit the roles better. Its a whacky sci/fi action flick for sure. I had fun with it. 😆 I would recommend John Travolta in "Saturday Night Fever" (1977) if it wasn't such a copyright nightmare because of the music. It was the movie that made him a huge movie star. But a really good suspense/thriller with him is "Blowout" (1981).

Every time I rewatch this movie, I always forget it ends in a speedboat chase.

A hard act to follow for outlandish 90's action. There is a 80's action parody out there called Kung Fury - basically, all of the 80's action flicks combined into one movie - definitely worth watching for a good laugh. Not sure who the MVP should be, but the Worst award should go to the hand over face rubbing thing because: 1.) it's just awkward creepy, 2.) we all just got over covid!

My recommendations for actions films with an interesting premise are: Pitch Black and Boss Level.

Watching you come to terms with where the movie was going to go was the best part. Hilarious! As far as your awards go for me the worst was that thing Travolta does where he wipes his hand across the face. I hated that on day one in the theater and I still hate it. I still remember the voice of a person sitting behind me yelling out "Stop doing that!?"

This movie is so crazy. I consider it a guilty pleasure movie. :D

My MVP would be John Woo for making something this crazy enjoyable enough to accept how crazy it is. Low Key MVP would be Eve for believing enough to find out the truth. Worst Award would be Pollux Troy for being so paranoid that they had to do something this crazy to find the bomb in the first place.

I like that the movie didn't base her belief on something convoluted or emotional. They went right for a thing she, as a doctor, would understand and would force her to open her mind : his blood type.

"Yeah, that story is bananas!" 🍌 🍌 🍌 🍌 🍌 🍌 🍌 🍌 🍌 Yep, that's this film in a nutshell. Some other gun fight films. •Hard Boiled (1992) •True Romance (1993) •Leon (1994) •The Replacement Killers (1998) •The Way of the Gun (2000) •Collateral (2004) •Wanted (2008) But your next Nick Cage film needs to be •Con Air At a much later time, after you have seen a lot more of his work. You may wish to consider... •The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent Where he plays a version of himself. The film parodies a perception of him releating to his film career choices. It's bonkers, over the top and hilarious. It also stars Pedro Pascal, who I thought was also brilliant.
