Hello everyone, Progress report is here.

Newly added monster - poltergeist was not working as I intended, so I had to do rework on her- here and there. It wasn't her main body but her body part(weapon) caused the trouble, so I spent most of time on fixing it.

Anyway, here's the sprite animations I've been working during this month :

1. Sprite animation for Kepadelian :

Idle animation

Attack

Damaged

Dead

...and his explosive minion


To hunt Kepadelian, Explosive type attack (EX: attack type Cannon, Landmine) is recommended because as soon as Kepadelian get hit, he will teleports to somewhere around the sanctuary. Killing him with low damage attack will be very annoying.

Throwing weapons are very effective against him as well.


2. Sprite animation for Banshee :

Idle animation

Animation when she take damage. since Banshee is very simple monster, she don't have much animation. So I added multiple damaged pose so player can enjoy splash the water on her. 

3. Sprite animation for Onryo cannon:

Idle animation

Attack animation

On cooldown


Once onryo cannon fires, rain of eyeballs will fall from the sky, and as soon as it touch the ground, it'll emit electrical shock.


Player must dodge/shot down these eyeballs before it hits the ground near heroine or slime.

or just use the "bubble" attack style to erase them.

4. Remade NPC portrait for Hilda:

Old ver.

New version.

Unfortunately new version don't have full body shot since I don't need them. 

Old version image will be store on omake folder.

Now following images....I don't think I would use these- 

but anyway, here's the variation version.

5. Slime's new attack styles :

Now slime have all 12 attack styles!

Newly added skills are following list:

Spray

Trick orb

Spray is pretty much straightforward skill, it have very short attack range, but have same effect of rifle attack. this attack can pierce through the enemy. It is super effective against very small, weak foes.

Now this is Trick orb

by costing both Plus(food) Minus(water) energy, slime throws a small magical orb that absorb the energy around area(include enemy's lifeforce), the orb itself does very little AOA damage, but once the orb mature, It'll follow the slime. By absorbing this orb it'll replenish slime's stamina by 100% and it also recover little bit of HP & hunger.

As slime's level increase, slime's maximum stamina increase and it makes slime can run much longer, can do more melee attacks, but it also takes time to fully recover the stamina bar. but with this skill, player who prefer melee attack may able to control stamina more effectively.


6. Regarding Anthophobia 2:

Currently I'm working on Sumire's default body. but progress is very slow since I'm only working on it when I have free time. here's the image.

Highres? yes, she's twice bigger than previous game.

and this time I'm using spine animation.

Finally! I can add outfit change system with this!

Right side is remade sumire on anthophobia 1(2022)

I'm taking most of my time on polishing image and animation.

Current animation is...well, to be honest, it's not good.  

It needs more polish, improvement.

Well, I still have time until beginning of the next project, Anthophobia 2. 

I'll do my best to improve it while I have time.


7. Regarding WIP build :

I'm uploading it right now. but I must warn, 

For testing purpose, early version of Poltergeist and Kepadelian will spawn at the sanctuary. 

Player don't need to defeat it since even Heroine's HP is reach 0, there's nothing happens yet. so if you don't want to fight them, just ignore them and exit the sanctuary area.

or playing previous version could be the other option.

Sumire's spine seems to be very bent forward, and it looks weird to me. I'm confused if normal women's backs are supposed to look like that or not.

Seems DS is coming along nicely! Lots of diversity and potential for NPCs and enemies, here! Also, you're making Anthophobia 2!? This is a pleasant surprise, was this announced earlier and I just missed it? Either way, good work, and best of luck with the projects!

Thank you! 😄 My current goal is finish DS project until next year summer, and start making Anthophobia 2. Currently DS is number one priority right now, but I'm also work on Anthophobia 2 resource when I have free time.

Some great monster design. Regarding Anthrophobia 2 and spine animation. Will it be used in the H animation or for basic animation for navigation and combat? I feel like it would lose a lot of its charm with spine animation. Sumire looks great in detail and I look forward to seeing if there's any lore to her change in look or basically the evolution to her body. <3

I'll try both spine and frame by frame way and see which one works better. Anthophobia 2 will be story after 30 months from outbreak(27 months after Anthophobia 1, summer season)
