Hi Grizzlies!

I recently received a request from one of you guys to go and see the M.C Escher gallery in Den Haag. Maurits Cornelis Escher is a famous Dutch artist (1898-1972) who is best known for his wood engravings, tessellations, interlocking patterns, and impossible constructions.

If you've never heard of him before, I'm sure seeing some of his art will remind you of something of his you've seen along the way? The gallery, featuring 120 pieces of his best work, is located in a former Palace, which was built between 1760 and 1764. If you'd like to read more about the history of this palace, check this out: https://www.escherinhetpaleis.nl/het-paleis/geschiedenis/ (translate to English should be available on your web browser).  The chandeliers in every room were magical!

Mr. Grizzly and I travelled 1 hour by train to get to this location, and we spent about 90 minutes at the museum, followed by a brunch at a cafe' on the way to Madurodam (mini Netherlands). The gift shop at the museum was lovely, with lots of notebooks, posters, and collectibles that any M.C. Escher fan would enjoy!

I'll make a video of the light show, M.C Escher museum clips, and Madurodam very soon for you! The best news of the year is that I can now upload videos directly to Patreon!! Without using Vimeo or YouTube as a server! I am so excited! Livestreams will still use YouTube as a server, but for Patreon-exclusive videos, it will all be right here for you.

Thank you so much to Caroline for the amazing suggestion! If you have any suggestions for me to consider, please send me a message with the link to the location and important information. I can't promise I will go there, but I will look into it and do some calculations and see if it's safe, feasible, and something I would also enjoy so that you get the most authentic, happy footage from me out and about.

Lots of love,

Gisela.
