Patreon and iOS (Patreon)

Are you subscribed to my patreon (or any for that matter) through iOS? (not familiar with it since the only iOS I use is the iPad but I don't suscribe to things through that)
I just got an email telling me this:

"Apple is requiring that Patreon use their in-app purchasing system and remove all other billing systems from the Patreon iOS app by November 2024. This means that starting in November, new memberships purchased in the iOS app will be subject to Apple's 30% App Store fee."

They've given me the option to either get 30% less of each pledge coming from iOS or raise the price for iOS users by 30%. (either I absorb the iOS price increase or you do basically)
How things are at the moment I can't afford to absorb it, so I wanted to let you know I'm advance. This will take effect in November 1st.

As far as I understand this is a new iOS tax for in app purchases (done on the app store). So maybe suscribe using a non iOS device (a pc, Maybe) if you want to avoid that iOS tax. I am not certain this is how it works but it sounds like it to me atm.

I'm sorry this is happening but it's definetively out of my control. If you see any other solution let me know in the comment section.
