The De Mille brothers had a studio in Gallup, New Mexico I think Rodgers was referring to, great restaurant hotel they built for early Western movie stars to stay in was the El Rancho, neat time locked hotel that oozes old hollywood. Great place that still exists, themed rooms with old movie library available for free and a nice movie star themed menu

A true asshole's asshole, he has a rep for being basically insane but he's such a hero in KC no one has ever called him out on it. Some guy had a website in the olden days detailing some the maniacal shit he would do, inspired by GB telling him to "fuck off" when he was a 10 y.o. kid asking for an autograph.

Man, Rodgers' story about the cop stealing the novel made my blood boil. We hear about SO much worse every day, but something about the pettiness really got to me. Couldn't concentrate on the podcast for the next ten minutes.
