Both DeepStar Six and Leviathan are not very good movies, but I still find them very extremely watcahble and do a double feature of them every now and then. They represent a time when Hollywood wasn't afraid to put some money behind R-Rated sci-fi horror movies (see also: Deep Rising, The Relic, Event Horizon, etc.) - they may not be the best, but they have practical effects and don't feel as sterile as modern movies. I tend towards DS6, but I think Leviathan has a better creature. Oh, and Lords of the Deep? It's a Roger Corman movie, which is probably all that needs to be said, and it looks like it was made in the early 70s. MST3K covered it on their Netflix reboot - watch that instead.

You okay? Not sure why you jumped in so aggressive. I'm still pretty close friends with my PSG, squad leaders, and one of my 1SGs that I was in AFG with. We get together almost every year in Nashville. I'm sure we would honestly get along too. Staff when I first got to the unit like all new junior officers but spent the 90% of my time as a Platoon Leader, XO, and then acting CO. It was a great time, just had no interest in being a field grade officer. By the way, Group guys are the 'quiet professionals', I'm not ashamed that I'm a physical specimen. ;)

Only the Boyz can rail against the problems in a movie, while at the same time doing a cold-open bit from "years ago" that references their current social media binge. What even is this cold open?

Playing a bit of catch up on the movies but the VHS box art for this always scared me as a kid. Glad I finally watched it.
