Excited and anxious I await my dream

To escape, applaud And embrace my team

Opening day I always can trust

It’s just for this high That I crazily lust

Return of our hero Does brighten the days

Just briefly, my troubles Get lost in the haze

The grace from the field Arouses the crowd

Reflects on the days When I was quite proud

I’m more entranced Than the average fan

I used to play, you see And I know I still can

That time I drove the ball With such loft

My exit atop shoulders As they carried me off

This pastime and I Just fade into one

Expanded upon From father and son

My boy is young And awkward for now

I just need the time And can show him how

I really am quite close Just a break away

From straightening things out And being okay

I can help my team To regain its glory

With just a little twist To the same old story

Players say now They play for themselves

This causes a burning Within me that dwells

The fan is the one Who pays for the game

Which bestows all the riches And welcomed fame

The players will listen But really don’t hear

All the while just hiding Behind an invisible tear

I grow tired now of all this greed

And chart a course to set things free

My ex-girlfriend started working for Cutco about a month after we broke up, and she was super aggressive. She tried to get my mom’s phone number to schedule a demo at our house (she had never met my parents).

As a kid I probably drank more juice in an average day than I drink now in an entire year. Except celery juice of course.

"Free consultation. No money down." That's a typo. "Free consultation? No, money down!

I gotta say, I fucking LOVED re-watching this. Scott’s aesthetic and score really framed the emotions Snipes was going through while seamlessly tying the narrative with De Niro’s boiling pot all in a similar tone. Creates a cool connection that exists in all the in-between moments. Also when you think about a rich athlete hot shot athlete character needing to feel vulnerable and empathetic to us while also making us fully believe he is a fucking star… idk, pretty good filmmaking moments.

I can't pass up any chance to shit on FSU so I'll just say that the person dressed as a Seminole who does the whole spear thing pregame is always a white guy from a particular frat. In FSU's history only like 2 members of the Seminole Tribe have graduated from the school.

Funny, I call my spare bedroom covered with pictures of Ben the Rodge Lodge

Happened to relisten to the Copland episode and can confirm “Kansas City Queefs” is definitely something that has been said before

This movie hits close to home. A simple thank you would be nice

I think I drank orange juice exclusively in the 90s, I don’t remember drinking water… we got a water cooler because our well water was gross and that was a game changer… give me good water and that’s all I need!

Will See

Hell yeah
