Love a 80s movie with a mud water slide scene

Anonymous

What even is this movie

G

Did he say that?? lol

Gil Slits

Thank god the episode is finally up! All that anxiety and uncertainty had me romancing MY stone to stay cool.

Definitely one of the first Sunday night network TV movies I remember watching. February 8, 1987 on ABC according to the sauna. Still fun as hell to watch.

Anonymous

Man... The Sunday Matinee triple Feature on the local "Fox" station. Swear I've seen this movie TV Edited at least 30 times as a kid.

Anonymous

Gabrus was probably smoking too much weed and Rodgers was probably being weird online and Stanger was probably in the sauna and that's why they were late

Matt Matecki

I remembered so little of this movie I actually rented and watched it, in preparation. However, it did get boring and I checked my phone for a while, missing them arrive at the jewels and didn't care enough to watch it again. 5 stars

Man, few things make me laugh as hard as Rodgers shitting on sauna contributors and action boys patrons. So much contempt

Zemeckis is a great example of a super talented director becoming completely lost by his obsession with tech. I think we can probably put Ang Lee in the same group, and Jackson and Cameron are probably like one or two films away from the same fate.

bloodflart

at least we had Rodgers on CBB, I feel like exact same thing happened last time it was late

Nick C.

The wheels came off the thing right around the time he spotted the Devil's Fork, kicking off the double-cross that started and ended in the span of like 3 scenes.

Anonymous

To paraphrase podcast film historian Ben Rodgers, Zemeckis got his dick stuck in the computer.

Re: janitor position esteem question- When I was a floor care technician (janitor that specializes in floors) it was based on your access level. The more buildings and places you had access to with your key ring/ key card, the higher status you were. My crew went from “meh “ to “esteemed custodians” once we were able to access every building on campus. This may or may not have been correlated with what we had access to trade/borrow/steal with our fellow coworkers.

Why do Americans say “Cartagena” like lasagna? It’s a regular old N, not a Ñ

Kathleen Turner did monologues for Assscat a few years ago and I told her what a fan I was of Romancing the Stone. She told me she almost didn’t come back for Jewel of the Nile because she hated the script so much. Michael Douglass as producer screwed the writer of the original and didn’t bring her back to write the sequel. He sued Kathleen Turner to make her do the sequel. He gave the sports car to Diane Thomas less as a gift and more as way to bring her in to fix the shitty script he’d commissioned — one of those “bring in the female writer to fix the female character that got screwed over” jobs. And that’s the Porsche she died in shortly thereafter.

Beowulf might low-key make a great episode. It looks just as shitty as his other animated movies but, unlike those, it's also super violent, horny and weird. And Rodgers having positive memories of it because he was high as fuck when he saw it last would make for a nice twist.

re: Crocodile Mile. That Funches and Moynihan Slip n Slide show was shut down the other day due to an "explosive Diarrhea" outbreak on set.. good to know Gabrus is back to work

“Oh no, I squibbed her”

Does Stanger do a Kirk Douglas impression? When he does the "BRRRRUTAL" steroid freak aggro voice it's almost Kirk Douglas

Scott Ferris

Genuinely laughed at the menagerie talk. Parrots, wanking dogs. Wonderful 👏.

Jared Niles

Regarding Slumdog Millionaire I was a sophomore in high school when it came out and it was a big deal for me and some friends, but that didn't last too long and I don't really care much about it now and I feel like I hardly know anyone that cared to see it let alone talk about it much. Curious how it holds up though.

I get sincerely pissed off when I think about how Danny DeVito has been game and available for 20 years but virtually no great filmmakers have given him the great role he deserves... there's a parallel universe where there have been four or five classic movie performances by this brilliant, one of a kind actor who may not be with us a hell of a lot longer. Anyway, I'm sure this is partly DeVito's fault for not picking the right roles or whatever, but I think the modern movie business has left behind some world class actors. Rant over.

The actor/stuntman in a ton of ABZ movies who is a sort of unknown guy is Thomas Rosales Jr. He's been in 13 ABZ movies. Stallone has been in 11. Even after seeing a picture of him I can't remember ever seeing him.

I think it’s a pretty interesting movie. They should do it

Juan is played by Alfonso Arau, a respected Mexican actor who also directed “Like Water for Chocolate” and “A Walk In The Clouds.” But more importantly, let me get this straight: The Boyz love this schlock fest then trash talk Caddyshack?

A bird person came into my work once with some big ass bird on their shoulder and they were wearing what was essentially a shit cloak

I've had a roommate with a dog who was super protective of her and also just sat on the couch all day and jerked off in the way Rodgers described before. He'd also just stare you down if you walked into the room to watch TV, without stopping. What I'm saying is this episode triggered the fuck out of me and now I'm gonna have to talk to my therapist about the Action Boyz. Again.

Bushmaster is the snake they kill but its also the best nickname for a guy like Michael Douglas

Yo Gabrus , give us an ABZ Discord for real!

This week’s discussion reminds me of this Umberto Eco quote about Casablanca: “Two clichés make us laugh. A hundred cliches move us. For we sense dimly that the clichés are talking among themselves, and celebrating a reunion.”

Jon Smith

he has been producing and directing since the 80's it's not like Hollywood forgot about him, his non acting career is almost as impressive as his acting career

“Joan Wilder” & “Cartagena” occupy way too much space in my memory.

Megan

Wait, have the boys done a Planet of the Apes EP yet?

Moira's Machine

"Throw Momma from the Train" for the next Choo Choo Boyz / DeVito movie please?

My wife's dog when we first started dating would hump me when I was sleeping in a show of dominance. Ten years later he's dead and we've got two new dogs, I won.

Listening to the latest CBB. Bad timing having recorded it just before the news broke that Batman doesn't eat ass. Does Night Wolf eat ass? The people want to know.

Chabnormal

Oh no, a short one!?!

Who remembers the dog jerking off in GARDEN STATE?
