Holy shit did that have to be a VERY specific time for them to even consider mentioning Hulk Hogan on the cover of a movie magazine. And Brandon Lee? I think Rapid Fire was about the only thing of his to play in theaters before his death.

Two 70s movies in one month? Amazing stuff. This is like my platonic ideal for a month of Action Boyz movies. A notorious bomb, a 70s classic I was due for a rewatch for, something from the 80s I haven't seen since I was a kid, and another trip into the back catalogue of one of the heavy hitters I'd never watch if it wasn't for this show.

Cutthroat Island has a very special place in my heart because on the VHS tape, the red band trailer for showgirls played before the movie, and I probably watched it 100 times as a kid. Never watched the cutthroat island movie though. Looks good, lot of water stuff.

Yakuza has been on my list ever since I watched Friends of Eddie Coyle. Now I definitely need to see it. Hoping for a month where the boys do British gangster movies like The Long Good Friday, Sexy Beast, The Krays, Get Carter, McVicar. Probably not all widely available to stream.. but def in their wheelhouse.. just across the pond.

I'm 1 minute in to Cutthroat Island & I'm afraid that this movie will be more than Stanger can handle monkey-wise.
