Repo man is a great fucking movie. I can’t imagine any one not liking it, let alone not already having seen it. If you’re an old man like me, you memorized a shit ton of the dialogue and you would meet people from other parts of the country and find out THEY would know all the dialogue too. Alex Cox is a great Hollywood weirdo. “I installed a two way mirror in his house in Brentwood.” “The more you drive the less intelligent you become.” “Otto... pahts!” (Loud laughter). So many funny little bits in every scene... for example, they’re in a hospital and someone pages a William S. Burroughs character over the intercom. IMO the only thing that aged poorly is Keith Morris complaining about people on welfare who drive Cadillacs.

Its totally worth it to buy the Criterion release of Police Story 1 & 2. The transfers look amazing.

Do not watch the Dub version of Police Story 2. Completely ruins any drama, levity or comedy, and I would even go so far as to call the dubbing racist as hell. Watch the sub version on criterion and its a way better movie.
