You wanted subtitles, you got em. POLICE STORY marks the first time the Boyz have covered a subtitled film for the Pateron. Jackie Chan is truly peerless and he’s at the height of his powers in this one. The tonal shifts in this movie are fucking bananas but the action is spectacular, the comedy is funny, the romance is confusing and the drama is unnecessary. The action and stunts are so good in this 1 hour 40 minute movie that you don’t mind the 37 minute court scene. They don’t make em like they used to ActionBaby, this one will make you long for the days people were getting legitimately hurt on film.

Adam Lane

The podcast has fully devolved into three 40 year-old men trying to remember the names of songs, complaining about who paid for the tip and talking shit about their friends behind their backs. And I love it.

What am I hearing? Rumble in the Bronx is great!

I remember being introduced to Jackie Chan the same way as Rogers, through the MTV Movie Awards where he got the lifetime achievement award. I watched it on re-runs a couple times just to see the long montage again https://youtu.be/TPcOIz06n6I

PRAISE THE PORCELIN GODS!!

I remember when Frank Stallone was going off on Mark Rylance. Pretty fucking funny. "If I was Mark? I would have been embarrassed” and “Mark Rylance couldn’t even comb his hair for Christ sake this is the 3rd time Sly’s gotten ripped off.”

StangerGHOST!!!! Yay!!! But seriously it was StangerALIEN. Think it over.

I love you Boyz, but you're not doing yourself any favors as three white guys trashing on Lin Manuel Miranda and Hamilton.

Fred Skull

I think Stallone was really taken with this movie. In Tango & Cash, as you guys have mentioned already, he ripped off the “shooting out the oncoming car’s windows” scene, but he also does martial arts in the end sequence! I mean, the closest he gets to martial arts, but still. I don’t think he did any back spin kicks in any other movie...

Found a cool video of Jackie talking about the big stunt at the end. He also mentions that he was filming this during the day and another movie at night, what an animal. https://youtu.be/2ZEVz1V-X4w

Is it alright for a latino to trash him. It's annoying to hear older white people talk about hip hop after seeing a play based of Alexander Hamilton.

It's all right for anyone to not like Hamilton. Everyone's entitled to their opinion. But it is also a show that gave a whole lot of performers of color the opportunity to work on Broadway.

Hell yeah
