I typically don’t comment but fuck, I had to finally say something…….this was one of those episodes (along with Hard Times, Miller’s Crossing, and I think Yakuza) where I had to stop the podcast and go watch the movie for the first time. What a fucking treat.

I believe Rade Šerbedžija's country of origin dissolved with Yugoslavia. I heard on Pod Casty For Me he was one of those go to guys to represent Soviet decrepitude as a kind of ambassador for capitalism but he's been nostalgic for Titoism in recent interviews- maybe just because economics across the board deteriorated.
