Carvalle: School of the Devils “The Doll” Arc

The world is cruel.

And to survive it, you must be a monster. There is nothing wrong with monsters killing monsters, correct?

"Do you hate me?" asked Mavis. He was sitting in front of the fireplace with me, both of us observing the flickering flames. His right hand is currently writing homework.

"No," I answered in a whisper.

"I remembered what... happened, when... w-we were kids..." Mavis said, looking at the flames. "I understood why you chose them... the Equestrians."

"And why is that, darling?" I smiled at his sudden interest in the past, as Mavis usually doesn't dwell on it.

He started to sniff. "I'm sorry... I'm really sorry, Rex... please forgive me..."

"You did nothing."

"That's it, I did nothing!" Mavis exclaimed. "I did nothing as my family did bad stuff to you... I... I can't..."

"Mavis," I held his bandaged left arm, before wiping his tears. "You are innocent. Their sins aren't yours. We were kids, and it's impossible for you to know what happened."

Mavis still believed I was mad at him. "Why can't I be one of the Equestrians, then? I-I can be of use... I can be useful! Y-you can use me..."

"I will use you when I need to, Mavis. But for now, you're merely a friend."

Mavis cries against the fireplace, "I'm sorry, Rex—"

A knock came by the door. I had to wipe Mavis' tears before facing the door and saying, "Come in."

It was Frost, who looked as grumpy as usual. "The brat is here..."

"Hi, hi!" The most beautiful girl in my life popped up from behind Frost, and I've never been happier. "Oh? Why are you crying? Rex better not be bullying you."

"Forgive me, Thena..." Mavis laughed, now wiping his tears with his sleeve. "I was thinking about some stuff..."

I knew—seeing Thena Quinn—that I had to cleanse this world for her.

THAT DREADFUL DAY,

"Thena, we need to talk..."

"Not now, Rex." The teacher sighed in frustration, phone to her ear in order to justify ignoring me. She always does this, masking to escape the issue at hand. "Hermes! Finally, you answered..."

"Thena," I whispered, "I beg you to not kill the kids, I'll take care of them and you can just not involve yourself with them."

She was avoiding me using her brother. "You're gonna pass 100%. I'm gonna buy you a graduation gift, and you're not allowed to refuse. Can't wait for you to teach in Carvalle!"

She laughed, before covering the mouthpiece. "They will still be my kids and I will not leave them with the likes of you!"

She went back to the phone, "Baby no..."

I cannot let her take my girls away from me. They're innocent and don't deserve to be killed, only monsters die in this place! "Thena, please..."

She faced me, still talking to someone on the phone. Her tone is the same happy tune, but her face is dead serious while saying, "Okay then, I won't really force you... I just want you to be successful and happy... wherever it may take you—"

I couldn't help but angrily remove the contents off the table, making one of the confiscated balls roll off to the outside of the hallways. Thena scolds me by saying, "Uhm... please practice in the Sports Area, not the hallways!"

Please go away! She wanted to say, now walking outside where I followed her. I swear, if this woman won't talk to me...

"Thena?" That person on the other side of the line is her brother, right? Did she really think she could ignore me because of him?

Thena laughed. "Oh, just the kids messing around, they're supposed to be in class, not here..." She widens her eyes at me, making it clear she doesn't want me to be here.

"Thena, I swear to fùcking God, drop the call and talk to me like the adult you are!"

Thena covered the microphone while I talked and replied to the caller, "Haha, hold on Ermie...Excuse me? Please stop playing by the stairs, you might injure yourselves!"—Stop please, I don't want to talk to you right now!

She added, "I'm sorry Hermes, I got distracted."

Hermes. She can't say her circumstances or else she'll be revealing the fact that she slept with me, a student. People will believe I'm the victim nonetheless and persecute the adult teacher. I know her plans, she wants her brother to come here and help her escape. Carvalle is its own hell, you can't get out.

She's going to kill my girls if she gets out.

"Thena, I beg of you to leave my twins alo—" She pushed me and backs away as she covers the phone.

"I'm not giving birth to them!"

"I'll clean this place for them!" I exclaimed, holding her by the shoulder, she panicked and tears start to pool in her Hazel eyes, "I'll cleanse this place, Thena. If you don't want to be part of the girls' lives, then let me create an innocent world for these innocent girls to live in, please... you can live your own life, far away from us."

"Thena?"

She stared at me, putting the phone on mute. "These girls won't be innocent with a monster as a father."

"Thena..."

"You kept me here..." she whispered, a tear rolling down her cheeks. "I don't want to be here... I don't... I never wanted to stay. But it's Carvalle... and I'm trapped, am I?"

"Thena, what's going on?"

Thena shook my hands off her, walking backward.

"Thena?" I waited for her reply, I waited for her to say something. We weren't done with our conversation, why is she walking away?

"I loved you... but I know what you're capable of. And I'm not letting you trap these babies the same way you did to me..." Only then did I notice Thena was walking back to where the staircases are, slowly approaching the railing.

With heartbroken eyes and a heavy heart, she unmuted the call and says, "Sorry, I got distracted. Anyway, I've written a referral for you just in case you want to apply here. I'm looking forward to where you'll—"

Thena grabbed the railing and I knew what she was going to do the second she ends that sentence, with her making it look like a suicide with her brother as a witness.

"No, Thena—!" I grab her arms but she turns her back on me in an attempt to get away. My heart pounded, and my eyes start to sting as I realize I'm crushing my kids with the arms that hold her in place.

My babies... I try to loosen my arms, but the minute I did, Thena turned around and pushed me back with all her might, both sending us in the opposite direction. I took one step back, and Thena's hips hit the railing with her upper body outweighing her legs. There, she flipped over, where I acted fast and grabbed her hand while the phone fell to the chandelier.

"THENA! NO, HOLD ON! CLIMB ON THE RAILING!" I feel the warmth of tears coat my eyelashes and fall onto her, joining her own tears as she looked up at me.

"... I don't..." she sobs, "I don't want to be in this place, Rex. C-Carvalle... is... "

"What about your brother?!" I yell at her before looking around for help. "SOMEONE, HELP! HELP, PLEASE!"

That alerted my boys at least, who came rushing into the building. Ray was frozen below the chandelier as Au and Rain rushed up the stairs.

"H-Hermes hates Carvalle..." she starts to slip, crying because she fears death as well. "I know he won't come... but if he does... he'll find out what's in this place... and understand... why I had to leave him... I'm so sorry, brother..."

"Thena, please..." I couldn't help it. I cried for the first time, knowing that I'm gonna lose three of the people I love if I dare let go. "Thena, I did everything for you please! Everything you asked for, and all I want is for you to keep them alive?! Thena—please... please not them... n-not my girls..."

I can see in her eyes, the fear of an angel that descended into hell. The way I can see Carvalle's staircases close in on her eyes, planning to swallow her the more she stays here.

"I'm sorry..." Thena held her breath and took out a pen from her pockets. The next thing I know, something stabbed my wrist and my screams follow her own, only broken by the glass chandeliers whose ornaments broke with it.

"Thena?!"

"THENA!"

My cries were the ones that echoes throughout the dirty, hellish school. My love, my children, all pierced by the chandelier, taken away from me.

"Rex?" Father Daniel saw me on the railings and pulled me back, before getting to witness the bloody decoration of the woman on the chandelier. He couldn't help but do the cross on his chest gasping, "Jesus, José Maria... what happened?"

I couldn't say anything. I could only cry as he keeps me out of her sight, for her eyes are looking directly at us, open and lifeless.

"My girls..." I managed to whisper among jagged breaths, "My girls, I... I..."

The priest holds in a breath, looking away from the sight. "Oh Thena... may the Lady forgive you... and the angels be in peace..."

IN THE PRESENT,

"How..." Hermes Quinn kneels on the floor, utterly dejected. "How... did he..."

They all report to him. The boys are his eyes and ears. Carvalle cameras. Teachers. Since Frost hinted earlier that he controls the police, it wouldn't be surprising if he has access to population databases.

And Hermes is correct. In a room, at an unknown location, a man more powerful than the King and the Lady of Carvalle lays in the middle of laptops circling around him, all streaming cameras from all over the school and the room where Hermes stays. He is directly laying on compiled pictures of Hermes interacting with each of his boys, recording each emotion and conversation in public. Even in private, Hermes lies in the others' beds sleeping. Those are his favorite.

A machine whirrs in the background, printing a batch of photos just from earlier. Hermes and Frost in the carnival, being the ideal perfect couple anyone would desire.

But that's not what he desired. While laying on the floor surrounded by disorganized 17 laptops, 14 tablets, and millions of photos, he pulls out a photo only he could ever touch. A photo of him and Thena, where the woman's beautiful face is burnt. Here he focuses on her belly, barely even raising but there exists a bump.

"Alice... Alisson..." He smiles, caressing Thena's belly with his thumb. "Don't worry my loves, I will cleanse the world before you touch it. I will give you a new mother... or Father, haha... he'd prefer that."

Two precious girls that he could've given the world to. He imagined them having Thena's eyes, her smile... his charm, but turns out they'll be having Hermes' eyes instead. The siblings will be beautiful, spoiled, given the world because they own it.

"... you okay?" Frost enters the room and is very concerned at the scattered pictures and surveillance laptops surrounding him like a halo.

"My girls can't wait..." He whispers to the air. "They want their Mom, soon... I'll give them a family. But first... Carvalle has to be cleansed. Give me the twins... I need them to kill faster."

the day before the festival,

I need to prepare to leave. After I face him and kill the bítch, I'm getting out of here... he promised to face me at the Festival. Hermes was packing his bags as an emergency measure, and the man of the house Mavis Levough peeked and witnessed it.

"Hermes? You're leaving?"

The teacher gasps, turning around. "Mavis, you scared me."

The young man was staring at Hermes' luggage quite sadly. "I... knew you wouldn't like it here... was it Frost? Or... me?"

"No Mavis, it's not any of you. I just... need to settle something in Carvalle..." That was a lie, he intended to stay here, but Hermes goes back to packing his stuff, but his hand is suddenly taken by a pale Mavis.

"Don't go to Carvalle..." Mavis weakly says, his voice a little lost. Hermes' eyes ask him of the reason he requests this, so he answers, "The twins... they... took... 20. No, no... he needs 20."

"20, what?" Hermes questions.

"20..." Mavis' eyes grow weaker, his breath shorter. "20 Carvalle..."

"...students?" Hermes was stunned, both at the realization that they're gonna kill 20, and Mavis suddenly fainting in his room. "Mavis! Mavis, are you okay?! Frost! Maids, someone help! Frost!"

later in Mavis' room, after the maids took care of him, Hermes stayed by his side the whole time. If only his phone was with him, he could call Daniel and alert him of the twins. He wants to leave, but he himself is scared under all that cold pressure. He doesn't want to use his body to stop those insane twins again.

After a while, young master Frost came rushing in with his white shirt and pajamas, void of any dirt as if he's a movie star who just crawled out of a set. This time, he didn't mask his concern. "Mavis?"

Isn't this normal? Hermes wondered why Frost looks so worried when this may be a normal occurrence.

"Hermes, come..." Frost says from the door, but when Hermes got up to leave, his wrist was pulled by none other than Mavis, who suddenly woke up.

"Please, don't... Frans, let... him stay," he says quite breathlessly. "I want to get up..."

"You want to get up? Alright," Hermes willingly helps him as Frost stares at them with narrowed eyebrows.

"Frans... leave us..." Frost was hesitant, about to say something, but swallowed it and turned away, closing the door against his will. Hermes noticed the white king's reluctance, but Mavis says, "Don't go to Carvalle... please."

"Mavis, are the twins killing students there right now? I have to at least inform the cops, they can save them!"

"If you leave them alone..." Mavis mumbles, playfully intertwining their hands, as innocent friends. "They will only kill those who... did something wrong... if you call the cops... you'll get innocents killed..."

There's no stopping them. If I have to kill the snake, I have to cut off the head. The twins are merely the fangs... I wish I can do something about it, but I'm not in Carvalle right now... shit.

"Mavis," Hermes seriously tells him, "You don't support whatever Frost is doing, right?"

"I can't do anything... I wish I can... Thena wouldn't have wanted this..." Mavis said, before looking at his bedroom window. "I wish I can do stuff, before I die..."

"Mavis, you're not gonna die."

"Death is inevitable for... me. I barely exist. Nothing but... a mind trying to keep itself alive," Mavis whispered, eyes staring at Hermes' hands and eyes trying to stay awake.

Hermes sighs at the hopeless young man. "Don't say that about yourself. Hey, how about we do the stuff you want?  What was it that you want to experience? Housekeeping? I'll teach you, so you won't be a spoiled brat like Frost."

Mavis chuckles, and a glimmer flashes in his eyes at the thought of breaking through his shell as a spoiled and incapable young master. Hermes takes his cold hand, and the promise of being taught by such a kind and pretty teacher gives him the will to ignore his weaknesses to go with him.

The maids are more than horrified at the sight of their young master loading clothes into the washing machine.

"Have they gone mad?"

"What if Master Mavis passes out?"

"He looks so cute..."

"I know right, Sir Hermes has such a nice áss—what, he looks good!"

"He's your son's age, Matilda!"

Meanwhile, Hermes looked horrified and stopped Mavis from putting buckets of water inside the machine. "Mavis, you don't need to do that!"

"B-but—"

"The machine fills it up, you just need to press this, and this... and—wait, why did you put shoes in there? We brush rubber shoes, not put them with clothes."

"Oh... sorry... " Mavis keeps his head down, a little embarrassed because the maids are watching him. As Hermes bends to take the shoes out, Mavis glances at the employees to avoid looking at it. To their surprise, the young master gave them a smile and wave.

"Oh look, it's spinning!" Mavis happily laughs, "Why aren't there... any hands that come and... and wash it? I thought... hands..."

"No sweetie, there are no hands that go inside the machine. That would be handwashing... want to try handwashing your underwear?"

Mavis is confused. "Ahh... all of my underwear are... new, they just... wash new ones, and after I wear it... they put it in... the garbage..."

"What?!" Rich kids... "Mavis, you need to learn how to wash your underwear, you're a grown man."

Mavis can't help but blush at his strict tone. "Uhm... will you teach m-me? Because... sure, haha..." He's right, I'm a grown-up already...

The maids have never been this red before, watching their young master handwash his clothing with Hermes instructing him to scrub his wrists together with the cloth between them. Mavis is very amused by the sound it makes, and Hermes made it so that it's not clean until he makes the squishing sound.

"This is so nice," says the fascinated young man, happily dipping it into the basin with Hermes washing his other ones.

Hermes had done this all his life, they don't have a washer so he grew up handwashing all his clothes. Mavis reminds him of when Thena taught him this chore when he was in 3rd grade. He was also obsessed with the squishing sound. Hermes finds himself smiling while doing this with him.

"Hermes... c-can we go wash my pet cat... after this?" Mavis shyly requests.

"You have a cat? How nice, what's its name?" Hermes asks while throwing the shoes out of the machine.

"Her name... is Raccoon..." Mavis giggles, "I think... you'll like her."

Hand in hand, Hermes was led to the wildlife garden where he once again witnessed the noise of many kinds of animals, except for the quiet reptiles. None of them were in cages so Hermes had to keep his one arm against himself, the other one holding Mavis' hand. He's especially scared of the exotic snakes that are just dangling feet away from them.

"Young master Mavis?" A caretaker greets.

"Hello, Mi... Mike, uhm... I want to wash... R-Raccoon..."

"Are you sure about that, young master? She grew big."

Hermes thinks the cat may be a Maine Coon, which is why her name is Raccoon.

"Don't worry... Hermes here is stronger than I am, haha..." Mavis says, quite breathlessly.

When the caretaker brought her out, Hermes stepped back and almost went into a snake's home tree. "Mavis, what the fúck?! I'm not strong enough for that!"

Mavis' cat, a personal pet he adopted, is a juvenile yet majestic albino Bengal tiger with white fur and black stripes, her eyes and mouth having patches of black fur which may be the origins of her name. She looks fierce and healthy, with a full belly underneath her. She goes up to Mavis and chuffs against his knees, before noticing Hermes and releasing a sound resembling that of a cow.

"She's... a little jealous..." Mavis sighs, petting the massive feline, 6 feet long.

"She's not gonna eat me, is she?"

"Haha, she prefers European," Mavis jokes, which lightens Hermes' mood. "She was on s-sale for fur... in the black market... I told Frost to buy her... so we can keep her here... safe... outside, she will be hunted again..."

Hermes starts to calm down the more he observed the albino tiger act like a common cat, chuffing as Mavis scratches her ear and moves to demand him to scratch her back. Seeing Mavis look so happy like this explains why Thena loved taking care of him.

And, in her Diary, "... Mavis is the piece of innocence in Carvalle that is wilting. The only true pure pearl. Because of him, I've met the love of my life. I owe my heart to this boy."

And that love of her life was the dreaded Rex Zenith that is pursuing Hermes right now. Still, Hermes has to suck up his circumstances if he were to succeed in facing him. He happily washes Raccoon's fur as Mavis held the shower, but playfully sprays Hermes with it as well.

"Mavis, stop! Hahahaha!" Hermes cackles as he throws soapy bubbles on the teasing boy.

"You smell like—a cat, Hermes... time for bath," he breathlessly justifies his reason for making Hermes scream and cower away.

"No, stop! Mavis, hahahaha... Mavis, please!" Hermes stuck to him so any water will also splash on him, but Mavis didn't mind. Raccoon had to sit there watching as her master showered his friend against his will.

Later on, both of them needed a shower and dried themselves together in Mavis' bedroom. They instructed the maids to get him

"Raccoon is such a beauty... and she has more fur on her belly than anywhere else. I'm glad you and Frost decided to rescue her," Hermes comments as he dries his hair in front of the dresser, naked for an also naked Mavis to stare at.

Stop... pervert, Mavis looks away, internally apologizing. "Almost... all exotic animals I have... are from the black market. I have to protect... I have to keep alive... I cannot handle that scummy business... that's why I leave Frost to it."

"The black market business?" Hermes turns around, "Do they sell humans, too?"

"Other Mafias... sell the people who... can't pay loans..." Mavis confessed, "The Levough sells these... kinds of people. I can't r-rescue them. Some, now my staff... but... too many gamble... and lose the Levough Mafia's money. I can't... keep up.

"Oh..." Hermes is horrified at their Mafia's dealings.

"But other Mafias... like, the Llorona... they kidnap all... men, women... children... dead fetuses... to sell to the black market. Once, my parents... bought a slave and his family... their kid, became my friend... very good kid... my best friend..."

Mavis started to mumble. "Because... of him, I make sure to... buy animals and take care of them, too. Get them away from... the black market... tell the police about children for sale. Frost told me, as long as I... don't expose the Levough's loan-slaves... it's all I can do. I can't do much."

"Mavis, you've done so much," With a towel around his waist, Hermes goes to hug the shocked young man whose limbs and neck are wrapped in bandages, his body in scars and healing bruises. The hug was soft and not tight because of this, but Mavis can feel the warmth. "Don't change, alright? For me and Thena..."

Mavis turns sad at the mention of that.

Later on for dinner, the two decided to become rebellious by eating under the table, plates playfully scattered on the floor as if they were children hiding from the staff and eating candy behind their back. But no, it was just Mavis trying to relive a lost childhood because he spent it all in bed sick. Even Hermes had to question if his concern and care for Mavis is genuine.

I'm sorry to leave you with them, Mavis... but I can't trust anyone.

However, Mavis suddenly says something that changed the atmosphere. "They weren't lying. I'm sorry, Hermes... but Thena... she did kill herself..."

Hermes refuses to believe it, his face emotionless when he asks, "Why would she do that. Why would she leave me?"

"Carvalle is cursed," whispers Mavis, as if scared to mention this fact. "I... I don't believe in ghosts... but... but that place... nothing goes right in that place..."

"Ghosts?"

Mavis looks away, "Th-the password for Carvalle archives... something you can't... get in... the password, I know it. You should search... the Romeo Incident... one year after this place w-was built..."

"The Romeo Incident?" Hermes leans in and holds Mavis' hand begging, "Mavis, please just tell me... I need to know everything please..."

"Then you'll leave?"

Does he want me to stay? Hermes didn't answer, but Mavis swallowed his nervousness and spoke anyway.

"The Romeo Incident... two lovers, Carvalle disapproved, b-because it is a catholic school... their innocent love, full of sin... Carvalle tore them apart." Mavis felt uncomfortable saying this, "One was expelled, disowned... the other, suicide... from then on... nothing innocent ever came out of this school. I didn't believe that to... be true... but... the first Carvalle suicide, is the lover of the recently expelled."

"Mavis... you think that caused a curse? What does that have anything to do with my sister?"

"The curse is..." Mavis is starting to have problems breathing, but answers, "If you aren't already... uhm, a bad person... Carvalle will force you to be one. Here... affairs, abuse... bullying, rápe... teachers with students... nuns and priests with students... they're all bad. And... they're inevitable. Thena realized how terrible... she became. She became one of them..."

"That doesn't sound like my sister."

"Carvalle got to her head," Mavis whispers, taking deep breaths to avoid stuttering. "I think... she wouldn't want you to know the bad things she's done."

"Why wouldn't she just leave, why did she stay?" Hermes' voice breaks as the facade and cold heart start to crack.

"The kids she was pregnant with, bound her to Carvalle... sh-she can't leave..." Mavis stares down at Hermes' stomach, "She can't let... the kids have that kind of life. Be cursed, w-with that man as a father."

Hermes reaches for Mavis' face, holding it with two of his warm hands, which looks tanner against Mavis' deathly pale complexion. "Mavis, please tell me who he is... please, tell me. I need to know the truth..."

Mavis' eyes start to tear up, as he really doesn't want to do this. There are severe consequences. But, looking at Hermes' eyes, he wants to cry even more. I... don't want you to die. After I say this... please leave...

"My childhood friend... Rex Hiedjer..." Mavis' tears roll down, their warmth staining Hermes' hands. Hermes stood there shocked, his mind unable to comprehend. Mavis cries, "I-I'm sorry, I lied... he didn't die, he... he didn't die... he didn't die..."

"Mavis..."

"My name," Mavis starts to sob, clutching his chest. "My name is the password... there, you'll find everything... you'll find the truth about all of them. Rex... H-i-e-d-j-e-r..."

"Mavis are you okay—?!" Hermes' wrist was grabbed by a hyperventilating Mavis.

"Go. Please, g-get out of here. Th-there's nothing for you here... I told you the truth... please... get out... leave Carvalle... please...!"

"Mavis—"

"GO!" He screams, begging for Hermes to leave the dining table.

Rex Hiedjer. Hermes removes himself off the table and backs away, but not before calling for someone else. "Nurse! Help, someone help Mavis!"

"No... go... please..." Mavis sobs, just as Hermes disappeared within the crown of maids and nurses here to take care of their young master.

later on,

On a dark night with light rain, Hermes paid a reluctant driver a lot of money to drive him to school. He had to run out of the mansion to hitch with someone and give five hundred dollars to come here. He's in his pajamas and robe, and he entered a school that is currently decorated with pink carnations and flags strewn across the empty campus, ready for the festivities tomorrow. There, Hermes snuck into the archive room to access Carvalle's Database.

According to several articles, although rarer than the Levoughs, The Schliemann was an established arms dealer that sold weapons to the Nazi Party back in World War 2. After the failure of the party, the Schliemann was criminalized and banned in Europe until the family arose to becoming a crime syndicate dealing arms to the following countries: Russia. The USA. Italy. France. Spain. Iraq. Pakistan...

"Alright, I shouldn't believe articles written by conspiracy theorists, but these are official records... Frost is a Mafia boss," Hermes mumbles.

The only real names Hermes really knew of. However, he is a teacher and he can get access to the students' files, as wrong as it may be. Usually, a valid reason has to justify accessing students' files as their identity is part of their privacy.

There weren't Cs in his grades, instead, there was a mix of As and Bs. It seemed like there was a difference in the twins' approach to school.

Hermes sighs, "Their names aren't that special... but it wouldn't hurt to search, right?"

Hoàng; a notorious crime syndicate that rules over Vietnam with their hold on politics, trading, residential villages and loan companies. Operates in Hanoi, Vietnam; this family has gangs placed on every city and every province, keeping control over the millennia by holding the wealth and goods.

"No... no way..." Hermes gasps, unable to believe that the twins are also part of a Mafia Family. Although, it is unsure whose descendant they are, because the current Mob Father doesn't look to have twin children. The twins may be distant, but it doesn't change the fact that they're born from a cold-blooded family that exploits and controls a whole country.

What else does Hermes not know about them? Au...

"Lloyd... 2nd Year... Special Ed Class..." Hermes nervously types in. Only two Lloyds appear in the database, but it's clear which one is Au.

"Winter..." Hermes points at Frost, born in December. Given the nickname Frost.

"Spring..." He points at the twins, Born in August. Given their names to reference the seasons of Spring.

"Autumn..." For Au, "I assume you're born around October and November..."

But in the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, there are Four, for each season. "Summer."

"He said his real name..."

"And June is okay with that?!"

"Clueless useless teacher, don't you know students' real names are off-limits in Carvalle?"

"Huh? I didn't know-..."

Mavis turned around to tell Frost, "Leave it alone... I gave him permission..."

"June?" Hermes sighs out, realizing that it is Mavis' nickname here in Carvalle. Only then did he decide to search up the name he is least suspicious of. "Mavis, please don't tell me you're an Equestrian..."
