#TBT to my first ever soft spoken ASMR video! This was probably also my first unboxing. In this video I unbox the first ever proper microphone I used for my channel - the Tascam DR05!

To this date, this microphone/recorder works really well, much better even than my newer microphone, the Tascam DR40X. I am currently having problems with that microphone - it's very sensitive and the capsules catch the air very easily and distort the sound, depending on what sound they're recording. They are great for very intense, on the mic triggers (like brushing, mic scratching, mouth sounds etc) but not so much for recording whispers. Nowadays, I use the DR40X mainly as a recorder for the condenser mics (the mics I used in Tuesday's video on my channel).

The mic used to work much better, when I bought it 2 years ago. But it's still a lot newer than the DR05 which is almost 6 years old.

I'm also having problems with the SD cards for the DR40X, which is why I haven't used it in many videos recently. I think I may either need to buy another new SD card (a different brand, apparently the Transcend brand works better than Sandisk for this mic) or try and reformat the one I have in the Tascam. The last time I used the mic though, it didn't save the audio of a 17 minute video I had recorded! 😞

If any of you are familiar with the Tascam DRX models or with any kind of recorder, and if you have any tips on SD card errors, please help! ♥

ASMR SOFT SPEAKING: Unboxing a package from the UK! 📦🎁 | + Tapping & Crinkling

Hola my lovelies. Come discover what's in this mysterious box! Here's a soft-spoken unboxing video + tapping and crinkling. Again, I've used 2 cameras - my phone and my digital camera to film the unboxing from 2 angles, to give you a better look of the box contents. I'm getting a new camera soon (hopefully) + I can't wait to start using my new mic! ♥ ~~~~ Why am I speaking like this? Well, this in an ASMR video!
