With season 3 around the corner, I figured it would be a great moment to start watching CotE and I'm loving this anime already! I hope you'll enjoy my reaction :)

I think you have already noticed but those "Rudeus" focuses (LOL) are the POV of the main character. COTE is a very enjoyable show as anime-only (although if you get too detailed you might find inconsistencies or plot holes) but if you've read the novel it's very disappointing. I don't want to go into details and this is the only time I'll talk about this so I won't be so annoying haha but besides everything omitted and changed there is a very important aspect: the protagonist in the anime is one dimensional, while in the novel he is much more complex, this because the anime omits more than half of his inner thoughts. I don't intend my little tantrum to ruin your experience, on the contrary I hope you enjoy the show a lot. Great reaction as always. By the way, good idea about putting a bit of the episode screen to make the sync easier, now it will be easier to watch the reactions when I'm at work lol

Ahh nah no worries man I appreciate you letting me know about these insights. Always interesting material to bring up in discussions. Tbh I like him so far but yeah I think I can kinda see what you mean already. I'm guessing I shouldn't expect too much character development from him in that case but that's okay, I'm loving the overall cast and the storyline so far though!
