Characters obsessed with an older brother or sister are quite common in anime, they are often depicted in a comedic and ambiguous way so it is often difficult to define whether it is obsessive admiration or something romantic. So it's usually best to just laugh it off and ignore it lol.

"Obsessed" is an understatement lol Yuri absolutely adores her to death. I can't really relate to that kind of sibling love myself, but I'm sure there are cases like this in our real world. A younger sibling absolutely admiring the older one. I'm sure it's not meant in an incestous way either, because that would be weird af lmao

Yeah I've seen the entire first season last year when it aired. I'd have to check back some scenes with him and Yor then haha but I kinda understand why people would assume those things lmao I also find it hilarious as well

It's not common compared to the number of anime out there, but a lot of them are like that. But in Yuri's case it's mostly admiration, bcs Yor is his older sister, but she's also played the role of a mother to him and that she did absolutely everything for him even came home bleeding, he developed a real admiration (in a weird way ok) but it's not romantic, especially since when Yor was introduced, he wanted her to get married

I misspoke, I meant it's a type of character that is known to almost everyone who watches anime regularly. Obviously in this case it's not romantic (although the ambiguity is still present anyway) but I was speaking in general.
