In episode 23 from 16:10 to 17:14 there is a flashback of Megumi that you might want to watch again but maybe it's better to remember it after finishing this story arc, anyway I'll leave it in case you want to check it out haha. Great reaction and don't worry, many are lost with this season, I was lucky enough to watch the series for the second time with my brother and then I saw your reactions so I remember a lot haha.

The clone guys and the old man didn’t belong to Q or the Time Vessel Association, they were simply going after the bounty that Megumi’s father put on Riko Amanai. The idea is that Megumi’s dad wants to wear down Gojo by having him fight a bunch of random sorcerers before he comes in himself.
