Hey everyone,

I woke up to some bad news today that's had me quite stressed out. Overnight, I apparently received a copyright strike for my reaction video to Demon Slayer 1x22 which was supposed to be posted today.

I've had to deal with a fair share of copyright "claims" in the past, most of which I could easily remove by muting certain audio portions or making some slight changes, but a "strike" is something else entirely. When your channel receives three strikes, it is subject to termination.

It doesn't help that I received no information whatsoever as to what the reason for the strike was. The video was edited like all the other 21 episodes that came before it. I was given an e-mail address I could contact but I searched online and people don't usually seem to get any reply back anyway.

I know a lot of channels have previously gotten into trouble with Demon Slayer in particular, so I will try and see what I can change to avoid taking any risks in the future. From what I can gather, I think changing the opacity to stay low throughout the entire reactions for Demon Slayer would be enough to do so. The only part that's a little scary is that there's a whole back catalogue of 21 episodes still up that were edited the exact same way, and there will be no telling if I am still at risk until it's already too late.

I know you guys on Patreon are the last thing I should have to worry about, as even in the worst case scenario I can continue reaching out to you all here and find ways to keep up the content schedule for you all, but I'm not gonna lie and say it concerns me greatly should something bad suddenly happen to the YouTube channel I worked so hard to build up over the last year.

Should any of you know how other channels have dealt with these things in the past, then I would appreciate any input from you that could help me out! I still plan on posting the new but altered reaction to Demon Slayer today, but I wanted to inform you all about this so you're aware what's going on behind the scenes! We'll stay in touch! :)

Robin
