filler episodes are made because the anime is being made while the manga is still going and there needs to be a gap in where the anime is in the story and where the manga is in the story. Sometimes the anime catches up too fast, so they make up their own stories or try and drag out their episodes with recaps. full filler episodes you can just entirely skipped. mixed canon/filler are most of the time only after a filler arc where the first half of the episode is wrapping up the filler arc while the 2nd half of the episode starts the canon stuff back up.

Yeah, I second this. Full fillers you can skip. The filler stories aren't even that good usually. Mixed filler/canon, as either as described above, or canon episodes with a few additions over the manga, which are worth watching fully. So overall I recommend watching mixed ons
